What about the slobber that is on the ball as it goes back and fort into the launcher?

This dog toy can still handle balls that have been slobbered on, though please note this may slightly affect the launch distance. For cleaning the interior, we recommend using a dry brush and a soft dry cloth. Please avoid rinsing with water directly, as this may cause a short circuit.

Can you use rubber balls instead of a tennis ball?

Worked great; until the internal belt stretched and failed

This ball launcher worked wonderfully for about two weeks. My dog absolutely loved it once he figured it out, and it functioned exactly as advertised during that time. Unfortunately, after about two weeks of regular use, the internal clear conveyor belt at the bottom stretched out to the point that it no longer grabs the gear pegs that move the ball forward. Because of this, the ball just sits at the bottom and never reaches the side rollers to be launched. It ends up confusing the dog more than entertaining him. I fully charged it, cleaned it thoroughly, and even disassembled it to troubleshoot. The issue is clearly mechanical, the belt has stretched and can no longer do its job. It appears to be an overworked or under engineered part that isn’t built to last with consistent use. Great concept and fun while it worked, but the durability just isn’t there.

Easy To Use and Works Just as Described

Once we charged it we were able to use it right away without any issue and adjust distance the ball was traveling. Kimo loves it!
