Three of my four inhaled their food and then looked for more in each others bowls, creating the beginning of a food/bowl aggression when they tried to defend their bowls, even if they were empty. Or they tried to go for the fourth's bowl (she takes her time eating). These bowls definitely slowed them down. They were used to stainless steel bowls, so at first they were wary, but when loaded with food, they accepted them happily, They definitely slowed down my my gulpers. The bowl are sturdy plastic and I like that they are dishwasher safe. One of my guys seems to use his teeth more that his tongue, so the jury is out on if the bowl will suffer, but at this point I don't see any teethmarks or damage. The bowls are a bit pricey (?) but thus far they are holding up well.

"Small" is not small in size

Our Boston Terrier was able to "fly" through her food with this bowl and the amount we feed her was dwarfed by the sheer size of the bowl.
