Feeding Instructions
For Supplemental Feeding Only - Feed dog 1 to 1½ cans per day of Almo Nature HQS Natural for every 10 lbs of body weight per day, rotating with different HQS Complete recipes and/or a dry dog food. Adjust amount based on dog’s activity level.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

Smells and looks fresh; my senior cattle dog and her husky sister approve! I like that it is low fat, human-grade, and has nothing artificial. The consistency is shredded chicken, so use a pill wrap on pills, then add the chicken around the pill if you're trying to hide medicine.

Alamo Natural was a great addition to Winston’s mealtimes. The cans I got were a little on the smaller side to be a full meal for a 131 lb St Bernard so I just added it to the top of his dry food. He gobbled it up in no time at all, and sometimes he can be a bit picky. The quality was good and we didn’t have any troubles with his bathroom routine, so that was a pleasant surprise!

I like the size of this can 5.5 oz. My dogs normally eat dry kibble as they are young with heathy teeth and appetites. My dogs are 35lb and 40lb dogs. This was a treat for them that they loved. To make it last and not spoil them, I would add it to the top of their kibble going forward. This product would have been great for our last two small dogs who only had a few teeth left and only ate canned. It is not to dense so easy to eat as well. Kinda reminds me of cat food because of its ease to consume. Just saying. My dogs enjoyed the food and gobbled it up.

One of my dogs can be very destructive during the day when she is bored. I decided to freeze this food in toys and give them to her when I leave for work. She seems to enjoy the food & is less destructive! I appreciate how easily you can find/read the ingredients. She has a sensitive stomach to certain foods and this never upset her stomach. I would recommend this food for any dog with a sensitive stomach!

I have been putting some of this on my two golden retrievers’ food and giving them just a little bit less kibble. They love it!—but goldens love to eat most things. What I love is the ingredients: chicken, water, rice. Exactly what I’d cook up if one of them was sick and needed a mild food. I’m going to keep cans of this in the cabinet for just such a time—it’ll save a trip to the store for ground chicken!

She really enjoys the treat and actually sorted the kibble out so she could eat the chicken in broth first.
