All of Almo Nature's HQS Natural products are formulated without any integration of artificial additives, therefore the content of minerals, vitamins and amino acids is that which is naturally contained in the raw material used before cooking.

Is there any concern with the mercury levels in this tuna? Would this be safe for my dog to eat every day?

All the fish ingredients by this brand are tested for heavy metals, including mercury, and adhere to EU standards (for mercury, the maximum limit is about 0.07 ppm. This limit is very far lower than the level that the FDA found in canned tuna (light and albacore) for humans, approximately 90% less. All of this brand's products are safe for the pet to consume daily, following the provided feeding guidelines on the can.

Would not eat it

I bought this tuna figuring my dogs would like it being that like salmon but they would not eat it sniffed it and just walked away I tried on a few occasions and

Our Dog LOVES this food!!!

Our dog Bo literally wolfed this food down, licked his bowl and then proceeded to beg for more! He's not terribly picky about the canned food he gets at night, but he usually doesn't act this excited. The food actually looks like tuna too! Bo is on a rotational diet and this foodwill definately be added to the rotation. I love seeing Bo so excited about his food!

Loved that it’s all tuna and rice, nothing added. it’s fresh and my picky dogs palates love it as a topping on their kibble.

Low fat and high protein

My dog is a min Schnauzer so we want to keep his food low fat. He likes this tuna by itself, sometimes as topping for his dry food. Usually I feed him about half

My dog is a min Schnauzer so we want to keep his food low fat. He likes this tuna by itself, sometimes as topping for his dry food. Usually I feed him about half a can earlier in the day and then give him his dry food at night. He has been too heavy but think he is losing weight with this diet. we also reduced biscuits and people food. He adapted easily to this with not lot of GI issues but just the tuna does tend to make his stools softer. The only downside to this food really is that it is not a complete diet. You have to feed it with something else or alternate which we do. Expensive but good quality of tuna although some cans have more water than they did when we first started feeding it to Bodie.
