RUINED MY DOGS LIVER!

If I could give it zero stars, I would have. Please do not buy this dog food if you love your dog. I switched from Natural Balance Duck & Potato to this garbage, and within months my otherwise healthy, happy 6 year old dog now has Chronic Liver Disease. We noticed her drinking copious amounts of water and urinating too frequently and lethargic all the time. Brought her to the Vet, they ran all urine tests and blood work. Liver came back with an AST of 118 (normal range should be between 15 - 66. Her liver ALT was 755! (should be between 12 - 118). This garbage food basically gave her cirrhosis of the liver within 6 months :( My poor doggie, I am so sorry we trusted Chewy and this brand of dog "food". Never. Again. Chewy will not even respond to my inquiries as to copper content of this kibble. That's a big red flag right there.

This food killed our dog

We used this food for 3 years and our dog loved it, when they changed the packaging of product, about last month something changed our dog would barely eat it and when he did he got severely sick... After reading other reviews on this new packaging issue we called American Journey and they said they did change production or manufacturer in a certain ingredient, now high vet bills and broken hearts of the death of our family German shepard. Not only are we upset we are livid and hope this product does not do this to other loved ones. Buyer beware. We will be looking further into this.

So sad, ruined my dogs helth

I HAD, an extremely healthy dog. Whatever they did when they changed the bag. It made my dog so sick and he can no longer walk. He used to run and jump chasing squirrels. He can no longer enjoy that life. This food is dangerous. It made him drool and vomit he lost all his weight. The vet said it was the food. Our hearts are broken our family member is in horrible health. He's has been on this food since we adopted his 3 years ago. When the bag changed so did his life.

my itchy fur baby

My 10 year old fur baby has , seemingly, developed allergies to chicken after having eaten it for years. After researching, I found that lamb and duck are 2 good alternatives for dogs with allergies so I bought a small bag of duck and sweet potato and a bag of lamb and brown rice. He doesn’t care at all for this duck, though he did like the lamb…so lamb it is.

Amazing & healthy

Hi , my little girl Layla loved the combination of duck & sweet potato. She loves sweet potato and I wanted a different protein instead of the usual turkey. Layla seems to have more energy and I like the vitamins and ingredient list .

pack leader

Ingredients brand updated formula now if you read the label pay attention there’s no reason corn, by products aka (beaks/feet entrails necks etc ) & canola oil should be in your dogs food unless you plan on a short life. Seed oil‘s or disruptive to their endocrine system not to mention other systems. Not worth the The cost now for the higher vet bills and heartbreak down the road.

Food makes pup too gassy

This food caused too much gas in my pooch. I can understand a little because it’s higher fiber but it’s enough that I can tell she’s cumcomfortable too.

Phoebe loves this dog food.

I had Phoebe on a much higher priced duck dog food and was just about to buy another bag on Chewy. The American Journey Duck and Sweet Potato dog food came up at about have the price so I tried it. My dog races to her bowl at mealtime. She is usually a picky eater!

Taste test

While the ingredients read well. none of my 4 dogs would eat it. I give them options and they decide what they like. The Venison option was definitely preferred over the Duck, but still they waived it off as not worth eating.
