As another reviewer mentioned, the peas are very hard. I’m not sure how or why. My pup ate the whole treat then walked around with this drked hard pea in her mouth for an hour as if she were taking care of a baby. It was bizarre and after wrestling it away from her, I can confirm they are strangely very hard! However, regardless of the odd pea situation, she enjoys the treats themselves.
I bought these treats for my 14 yr old lab since these are soft baked. Problem is that the peas are like rocks and almost broke her last remaining teeth. I am having to remove the peas prior to giving them to her, but was not successful so will have to give them away.
These look and feel and smell good enough to for human consumption! In fact, I had to convince a guest that they weren't for people. He said, "I don't see a picture of a dog on the bag." If I hadn't been able to point out the word "dog" on the bag, Cyrus would have lost his treats! Oh, which reminds me, the dog loves them, too.
Because the beef treats, same brand have been out of stock, I went with these. They definitely Do Not stay whole like the beef ones, lots of crumbs which sucks. Next auto ship I hope the beef are back.
I have 3 dogs. I bought these for my Pom Yorkie who has a hard time eating hard treats. I only bought these because they said SOFT BAKED. So for some reason, I assumed they would be SOFT treats. They are NOT. They are just as HARD as any other dog treat. Supper disappointed but the other 2 will eat them but won't buy again.
My older dog that has become a picky eater loves them. The other treats I have are crunchy so this was perfect for 14 year old medium size spaniel. Didn’t seem soft til I broke it in half for her. She loves them.
The only thing I would change about these is the size. They're larger, so there are fewer treats, but they're a real fan favourite
The name is misleading because they are not soft. I have an old dog with dental issues that can only eat soft food and treats.
My large dog loves them I only gave them 3 * because I thought they were soft and they are more like a cracker. Softer than a biscuit harder than a soft treat. My little dog at 14 they are to hard for without breaking up
My pup loves these and the fact that they are larger than the hard chews from AJ makes it even better! He is thrilled!
