American Natural Premium employs 2 nutritionists, along with another third party nutritionist to consult, to formulate their foods. They participate in feeding trials as well as ensuring their food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by AAFCO nutrient profiles.

American Natural Premium foods are made in the USA with ingredients from local farmers, whenever possible, to ensure quality and freshness. Their food contains no corn, wheat, soy, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives or ingredients from China. All foods are quality tested during cooking and before distribution.

I don't see any Omega-3 or Omega-6 in the ingredients. Is it found in one of the other items?

This recipe contains 2.58% Omega 6 and 0.47% Omega 3 content. It is naturally derived from the chicken meal.

Disappointing Customer Service

Having contacted AvoDerm directly to get the status of our preferred food they advised of their ongoing supplier issues. They also recommended another AvoDerm product

Having contacted AvoDerm directly to get the status of our preferred food they advised of their ongoing supplier issues. They also recommended another AvoDerm product for Cassidy to use as we wait for these supplier issues to clear which would be easier on her stomach as we transition back and forth on food. This American Natural product was the “wrong” food recommendation for us and we’re disappointed with Chewy who we’ve been using for over 12 years.

CHEWY OVERCHARGES BIGTIME!

I have been buying the 33lb bag of this food for YEARS & have watched the price at Chewy go up & up & up... I have.no idea how they get aqay with charging soooo

I have been buying the 33lb bag of this food for YEARS & have watched the price at Chewy go up & up & up... I have.no idea how they get aqay with charging soooo much for this food when as of.March 2025 I have found another supplier that only charges $56 for the 33lb bag (green original flavor) with an additional discount for repeat shipping. It's over $75 at Chewy for the same exact bag - and we go thru 2 or them a month w my Irish Wolfhound, Mal wolfdog & Husky Mal Shep mix... I'd be broke paying over $75 a bag here!!!! I also usually have it delivered free with 1-2 day shipping as well - Shame on you Chewy!

Excellent dog food!

After trying several other brands, American Natural Premium is working great for my English cocker spaniel. I needed a lower fat dog food because cockers are prone

After trying several other brands, American Natural Premium is working great for my English cocker spaniel. I needed a lower fat dog food because cockers are prone to pancreatitis but also one without peas because Luca gets diarrhea from peas in dog food. This one works better than Blue Wilderness which has 10% fiber in it which causes multiple soft serve stools per day. No worries though with ANP because their fiber percentages are in the normal 4-5% range and now Luca is back to nice firm poops. He also gobbles this up and asks for more! We’re very happy with this dog food. And best of all they’re a very small company who uses well sourced ingredients. I’m very relieved to find such a great dog food!
