Can this be given to dogs under 10 lbs?

For dogs under 20 pounds, the "AminAvast Kidney Support Cat Supplement" should be used instead. That formula would be suitable for small dogs and cats.

What is the difference between the cat and dog version? Is it just same ingredients but different dosage per pill?

The active ingredient amount will be different. Aminavast 300mg is for cats and dogs up to 20 pounds, while Aminavast 1000mg is for cats and dogs 21 pounds and up.

If I open the capsule and sprinkle on food, does the supplement have a taste?

This made such a big difference. My dog, Harlow, was strictly on kidney function food/ treats but once we started adding these to her food, her kidney levels were phenomenal. They are expensive, especially if using them as directed for big dogs, but I would only add 1 pill instead of 2 and it still helped a lot. Not that I’m suggesting that, but if you need to make it last longer then you’re still getting some benefit from using it.

So far so good!

Successful so far!

My 12 year old Pitbull that I have had since he was 6 weeks old had began drinking gallons of water and going out to pee sometimes multiple times in an hour. I took him to the vet for bloodwork and sure enough his kidney levels were elevated and he was diagnosed with kidney disease. I went ahead and bought the kidney diet food which he was not fond of but I mixed some home made food in for him to eat. The day I discovered AminAvast was a tough day for us. He was very lethargic, barley lifting his head off the couch and was refusing anything to eat. I couldn’t help but cry thinking he could be coming to the end of his life and his kidneys were giving out. My nature is to never give up and I had to see if there was anymore I can do before we started to make decisions of quality of life. I got on the computer and researched for HOURS. I read every single forum on the Internet, every study released by a vet and upon all of this I saw someone mention AminAvast. I had it delivered within 2 days. Within a week my dog was LIKE A NEW DOG!!! He is back to his spunky self, eating great, and even sunbathing again which he has not done in months. He has his personality back and I can tell he just feels better!! He was also waking up multiple times a night to go out to pee and he has began to sleep through the night again which is incredible! I truly believe AminAvast has made a night and day different to save my dog, this was the only change we have made for him. I will be bringing him in for follow up blood and I am very curious to see what his kidney levels will be. It is a pricy supplement for a larger breed dog however I can assure you it worked for us and I could not be more grateful to have my best friend feeling better.

Uncertain if Reason for Cat's (yes Cat's) SDMA stable level

Made my dog get diarrhea

My dog has stage 4 kidney disease, gets a home made diet designed for this illness, and gets subcutaneous fluids every day as well as phosphate blockers. I thought

My dog has stage 4 kidney disease, gets a home made diet designed for this illness, and gets subcutaneous fluids every day as well as phosphate blockers. I thought I'd try this Amin Avast product but my dog would get diarrhea and also vomit when I gave it to her. Even very slight amounts caused this to happen. I am throwing out the remainder of the pills, only used a few. Without this product though my dog is doing great.
