If this product already lubricates your blades, should you still apply oil on your blades right after using this product? Would that be necessary or redundant?

Blades should be oiled after each use. If your clipper blades leave streaks or slow down, it is a sure sign they need to be oiled.Start by turning off the clipper and removing fragments of hair from the blade with a clipper brush.Clean and disinfect blades by using CoolCare Plus.Use the 5-point oiling system to lubricate your clipper and keep it running at top performance: 3 drops across the teeth of the blade and 1 drop on each back rail. After oiling, turn on and let run for 5-10 seconds to disperse the oil. Turn off and then wipe off any excess oil.

Can I leave the detachable blade directly in the solution for storage?

Immerse the clipper blade only while it is running. Wash approximately 20 seconds, remove, wipe off and apply clipper oil to running rails. Dip any detachable blade in the jar to rinse away hair, buildup and preservatives.

Is there an issue concerning residual fluid between the thines coming off during grooming?

I use this for professional grooming. I’ve always loved the product, but I’ve had a tough time getting it delivered. To be clear, this is NOT Chewy’s fault, but the delivery drivers in my area. Would just suggest requesting that Chewy package this item well before shipping, otherwise it will leak during transport!

Love that you can dip blades in jar!

Great blade cleaner. After clipping my dog, I dip tip of blade in jar while running, then detach and with gloved hand dip the whole blade in jar. Way better than

Great blade cleaner. After clipping my dog, I dip tip of blade in jar while running, then detach and with gloved hand dip the whole blade in jar. Way better than pouring some out and then having to dispose of used cleaner! But Chewy, please have all of your packers put this in a sealed plastic bag in case of leaking! It leaked all over the plush toys, cloth frisbee, and dog treats- you replaced items , so Chewy is great, but packers sometimes not. And FedEx doesn’t keep things upright! I would hope chewy would not want to keep replacing whole orders because of chemicals leaking!

I really like this blade cleaner for all my clipper blades. It cleans well and is ready to use. My only complaint is that it's very messy. The lid never seems to secure it well enough so I have to use a plastic bag to keep the cleaner from getting everywhere. Will still recommend because it is the best blade cleaner out there.
