This thing is way better than the handful of cordless grinders I have tried. Does twice the work in half the time. Amazing.

Died right away
I bought this because the cordless grinders tend to not work at full power for very long. I expected a corded grinder to last! I wasn't even able to get through
I bought this because the cordless grinders tend to not work at full power for very long. I expected a corded grinder to last! I wasn't even able to get through doing one of my dog's feet before it went dead and I haven't been able to get it to turn on again.
Needs fine tuning

I was pretty excited to try this product. I have a senior dog who requires regular nail care. He has some joint/mobility issues that require his nails to be kept short. The product seems nice and was packaged well. There is a nice silicone grip to help it not slip from your hand while in use. There are 2 speeds, I only used the #1 speed. The nail grinder volume is not too loud. My older dog has hearing loss and was unphased by the sound. Setting up the grinder was pretty simple. My pup didn't seem bothered by the grinding on his nails. My issue is that no matter what I do the sanding drum keeps moving and making its way off the grinder, making nail trimming progress quite difficult.
Did not last long
Bought this for my daughter for Xmas. Only used 3 times and won’t stay on. Turns on and off like it has a short in it. Disappointing. I bought one. Few years ago

This pet nail grinder has its pros and cons. The kit comes with grinding and polishing wheels, a silicon sleeve to shroud the shavings, and a travel bag. It is very easy to switch out the wheels and it has a long power cable. The downside is there is only 2 speeds and the low speed still seems a bit aggressive for a small/medium dog. Maybe it’s just my limited experience with nail grinders, but I found it difficult to find consistent pressure on my dog’s nails and it would bounce sometimes.
No guard to protect your dog's toe pads
I assumed this grinder would come with a guard to protect my dog's toe pads from the back side of the sanding drum while in use, since I've had problems with that
I assumed this grinder would come with a guard to protect my dog's toe pads from the back side of the sanding drum while in use, since I've had problems with that while using regular multi purpose rotary grinders on my dog in the past, and I have seen grinders with those guards before. I guess I should have read the product description a bit more closely, because this DOES NOT come come with a guard. What I thought was the guard is a weird rubber sleeve you have to put on yourself for no reason I can surmise other than to make the product photo look more impressive. It seems insane to me that a pet nail specific rotary tool would not come with this feature. In addition, one of the two small sandpaper drums was defective/unusable. The speed adjust felt very cheap, and the power button is a bit inconvenient once the sleeve is on. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 1 star is the fact that it did in fact grind my dog's nails, even if nail dust stuck all over the stupid rubber sleeve. And it was fairly ergonomic for the task compared to chunkier rotary tools. The motor also didn't bog down at any point during the grind, so it is at least up to the task for now. I just feel you're better off buying a more generic tool since this does not even come with the pet specific features you would want from a nail grinder.
Great in everything but speed
This nail grinder is great for those looking for smoother nail trims with a lower likelihood of nail splitting and quick damage. I like the variety of grinder heads
This nail grinder is great for those looking for smoother nail trims with a lower likelihood of nail splitting and quick damage. I like the variety of grinder heads for any size nail. Further, the body of the grinder fits well in my hand and it’s awkward to maneuver. I wasn’t sure about it being corded but I think the cable is long enough to still facilitate a variety of animal sizes. Further, it’s worth the consistent power supply. I didn’t like that it’s only two speeds. I would have liked at least one more option to choose from.
Its alright
Its made from cheaper plastic and is not very user friendly, definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with no experience with one. I have dog grooming experience
Its made from cheaper plastic and is not very user friendly, definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with no experience with one. I have dog grooming experience and found it frustrating to put together and use. I'd much rather use clippers. The dpgs i tested it on didn't get scared of it, though, its not as loud as some of these can be. It has safety which i like
Way easier than the clippers with a nicer finish
This was way easier for my nervous dog than the normal nail clippers. He actually let me use it and wasn’t too anxious with it. It did a great job cutting his nails
This was way easier for my nervous dog than the normal nail clippers. He actually let me use it and wasn’t too anxious with it. It did a great job cutting his nails down and made them smooth unlike the normal clippers. The only reason I’m not an insanely crazy about it is just because it does take a lot more time, but that’s nothing against the product itself though.
Safe and Easy to Use
Love this. It’s a life saver when I can’t get the pups to the groomers. They’re pugs, so nail trim was really the only thing I couldn’t do myself. This makes it
Love this. It’s a life saver when I can’t get the pups to the groomers. They’re pugs, so nail trim was really the only thing I couldn’t do myself. This makes it so easy! Just go slow as to not hit the quick. I have brindle pugs, so black nails. I don’t have to worry about accosting and cutting too far. Love that it comes with a case to hold it all together. Now if it could only cut back on the pug drama during trims!! 😂
