I buy these pouches for two of my cats with two separate issues. The first cat is overweight and always hungry. The pouches allow her to snack (taking longer due to the shredded nature of the food) without consuming a significant amount of calories. The second cat has severe skin allergies with a possible food component. She is on prescription food. Because these pouches only have one ingredient she can consume the wet food without having a flare up. She enjoys this supplement to her diet and it's good to get moisture into her food. Compared to some of the other varieties applaws offers, these seem drier, but the cats enjoy them.

The texture is a bit on the dry side...
