Is this product tested for heavy metals, especially mercury (methylmercury), but also lead, cadmium, and arsenic? Since some heavy metals occur in tuna and salmon, are there supplier specifications for limits on heavy metals for the fish products?

Applaws has stated the following: "Our products are made from high-quality meat and each product is safe for cats to enjoy as part of a balanced diet. Like many types of fish, tuna and salmon can naturally contain trace amounts of substances such as mercury. These amounts are low and safe in our products, but as with most foods (for pets or humans), we generally recommend offering a variety of proteins to ensure a balanced intake of nutrients. Our factories follow rigorous procedures to make sure only the highest quality and safe products are sent to the consumers. Our factories follow a testing regime that includes heavy metals, pesticides, pathogens, mycotoxins,etc, to make sure our products are meeting regulations and are safe."
