Took a long time to dissolve in hard water

In principle this is very convenient. Dosage is simple and the package says you can drop it right in the tank. But the balls took about 40 minutes to dissolve in my tank. I never saw them fizzing or anything. I have very hard well water so maybe that is why it took so long. My well water doesn't have chlorine but I do use a water conditioner. If the tank already has fish in it and chlorinated water is being added I would highly recommend dissolving the tablets/balls in a bucket of water before adding it.

I’ve been using AQUEON AquaPacs Water Conditioner for 2 weeks now, and I’m very pleased with how effective it is in keeping my aquarium water clean and safe for my fish. It was used to set up a new tank and for routine water changes. It quickly removes harmful chlorine, chloramine, and heavy metals from tap water. It ensures the water is safe to use without waiting for the water to sit for days. The conditioner proved to be safe for all types of freshwater fish I have in my tanks, including some delicate species. No signs of stress in my fish were noticed after water changes. As it comes in a dry form it makes it very easy to use. I simply add the recommended number of balls in the filter per gallon of water, and it works instantly. No need to use a measuring glass and count milliliters, no hassle and no mess! Highly recommended for any fishkeeper.

As described, the water did a little cloudy for about an hour afterwards. Water looks great. Now all I need is something to get the algea better controlled.

Our 10 gallon betta fish tank needed a water change. It was nice to be able to have the convenience of a pod instead of counting drops. Dissolved easily and made the water clear. My tank has a sponge filter so instead of putting it in the filter I just dissolved it in the clean water bucket.
