Did well in my tank

I have a 20 gallon tall holding tank of albino bristlenose plecos. I did a large water change since the filter couldn't keep up with the waste and needed to siphon

I have a 20 gallon tall holding tank of albino bristlenose plecos. I did a large water change since the filter couldn't keep up with the waste and needed to siphon the bottom badly. Afterwards, there were still a bunch of particles floating around in the water column like there usually is after a water change/siphon. I popped two of these clarifiers into the tank and let them do their thing. They're little compressed balls that dissolve in water. One ball per ten gallons. The instructions say ideally to put them in your filter, but I didn't have room, so I just put them directly into the tank like the instructions also say you can do alternatively. About 15 minutes later, I was already seeing an improvement. The water column was clearer and there were fewer particles floating around. Overnight, the water turned crystal clear and there has been no adverse effects on my plecos.

Unfortunately, I’m disappointed in these tablets. I have a 20 gallon freshwater tank with live plants, several small tetras and one ancient mollie. My tank doesn’t get terribly dirty, and I do regular cleanings and water changes. I figured these tablets would make the little work my tank requires even easier, but after adding 2 tablets and leaving town for a few days, my tank is significantly dirtier! It’s like the algae has been fed and my water is still really cloudy. It’s a bummer these didn’t work well for me as I had hoped they would.

Takes the guesswork out of using a water clarifier

I normally use a liquid water clarifier. Counting out drops can be tedious, especially on my larger tanks. This is dosed for 10 gallons and very easy to drop in
