I haven't had it for too long, but both my cats seem to like it and lay on it at least every day. It definitely feels cool to me if I stand or sit on it so I hope it's comfortable for them. I don't have AC so I really hope this helps them along with fans and lots of water. This size seems perfect for cats, both of mine are on the larger size around 12-14lbs.
Buyer Beware
The dogs liked the bed but unfortunately after less than two weeks, one of the beds leaked on our floor and stripped the wood of all color. We now have stains that can only be fixed by refinishing the floors. I'd consider using these outside only to avoid them ruining any flooring in the house.
This mat was disappointing, as it did not retain any cool temp if the sun remotely shined on it. The only benefit was that if we forget to bring it inside and it rains, it isn't ruined as an outdoor bed.
Cat loves it!
She lays down on it every day and keeps her cool. Live on a 2nd floor and don’t have central A/C just a couple of fans. Glad I purchased it.
Not good outdoors
I bought this bed for our outdoor cat and placed it on our covered patio. The gel is so warm I can't get him to even stand on it for long It works great indoors but I really need something for an outdoor cat that refuses to come inside
Arf self cooling bed
Its a great idea and works well. Having some trouble getting my dogs to use them since they are relatively thin and firm. My dogs are used to plush beds. Will try using them in their crates.
Amazing product!
I ordered one of these to try for my two shih tzu mixes who do not deal well with warm weather. Good thing Chewy has such quick delivery because my female would not share with her brother. Now they are both cooling off on their individual pads! Highly recommend.
Fits in variocage perfectly
Super pleased with this product. I had two regular arf cooling pads but unfortunately I one tore pretty quick. The other one is doing ok. Replaced the pad with this one and I’m surprised it fits really well. My dog loves it.
Wow! This is the best
We have had other cooling beds, including water filled. Nothing comes close to this one. Our 16 yo is finally comfortable-such a relief. Definitely recommend
