Is it noisy when a large dog moves around or underneath its claws?

Answer by ChewyJan 06, 2026
The Arf Pets Cargo Liner is designed with a padded, super-soft construction and a textured non-slip backing, which generally reduces noise from large dogs moving or scratching, aiming to provide a comfortable and quieter ride by absorbing some sound and preventing slippage, though some slight rustling or fabric noise might still occur with heavy movement.

If you need a lower-cost cargo protector, this might work. In a time crunch, we ordered this for a quick car trip to set a 48” crate & greyhound upon. It’s not thick & not sure it’d work for labs & huskies-types but if you can’t afford a precisely measured cargo cover, it could be used short-term until it gave way. If you have small dogs that don’t chew, it’d be sufficient. Never have tried its waterproof capabilities. It doesn’t tack down with Velcro like a prior protector I owned.

Thinner than anticipated.

Which actually works for me, especially the bumper flap, as it folds in when not needed without taking up too much space in the dog's compartment. Waterproof claim

I bought the large size for my Chevrolet Traverse. This photo is with the 3rd row folded down flat and the hooks attached to the headrests of the middle row. This barrier is tall enough to block the space between the captain chairs and contain our dog to the rear area.

Keeps dog safe

Our dog wanted to be up front with us. This kept him safe in the back of the SUV and made his ride softer.
