I have 2, 65 lb pitbulls who HAVE to sleep right next to each other or they will just cry their hearts out, will the large be big enough for both of them?

The interior (sleeping surface) dimensions for the Large is 35 x 22 inches and the X-Large is 45 x 30 inches. We'd recommend measuring both dog's while they lay to determine which size works best for them both together.

How thick is the bottom/base (not including the bumper)?

The entire pet bed isn't waterproof, only the pet mat base.

Why strings, y'all?

Having ties at each corner just seems like a really bad idea for a pet product, since many dogs chew on strings. Also a bad idea for washing machines with a center

Having ties at each corner just seems like a really bad idea for a pet product, since many dogs chew on strings. Also a bad idea for washing machines with a center agitator, as strings tend to get caught around it (just ask my drawstring sweatpants). Why not metal snaps? That seems like a better option and would make this product 5/5 stars. I like the style, color, and quality of this bed. It's plush, dogs seem to enjoy it.

I bought this so I can use it in a crate. As you can see you can tie the sides to the outside of the crate. So if your dog loves to dig in its bed, the bed always stays in place and the sides helps to have some support on the side and stays up. I tied ties on the outside so the dog don’t chew them. It’s comfy and plush. My dog loves it! I got the size L it fits my 48 crate great, it’s also a great price.

Did not even last a day.

Our last Chewy bed lasted awhile, the reviews were good, but this bed is awful. It’s not supportive, and my dogs chewed off the ties. The outer fluff comes off everywhere

Our last Chewy bed lasted awhile, the reviews were good, but this bed is awful. It’s not supportive, and my dogs chewed off the ties. The outer fluff comes off everywhere. It’s basically impossible to wash. I got the large size and it won’t fit in my full size washing machine, or maybe it would be mid stuff I decided the bed wasn’t worth washing. I basically lit $55 on fire with this one.

This bed was awesome. I wanted one big enough for my 80 pound lab mix so she could stretch out comfortably but also be able to rest her head on a bolster. This bed fit the bill! The corners of the bed tie up to create the bolster effect and if you prefer, you can leave them untied and create an even larger area to lie on. Or you could just tie up 2 corners and leave the others untied. It is also machine washable BUT the ex. lg. size would require a trip to the laundromat due to the sheer size.

Huge, Soft, lacking base cushion

This is almost a great bed... The good: I went off of their weight recommendation and got the xl for my 90lb doberman- 2 dobies her size can fit. It's very soft

This is almost a great bed... The good: I went off of their weight recommendation and got the xl for my 90lb doberman- 2 dobies her size can fit. It's very soft material for them to lay on and internal cushion and the bottom seems slip resistant and like it will be durable. The bad: there is not enough cushion in the base, so their joints and any pressure spots end up hitting the floor. So not great for those (like me) who bought it because their dog has joint issues and didn't want them to have to lay directly on the hard floor. Potential issue: It comes flat and you have to tie up the sides - so far my dobie hasn't ripped them off but I've known dogs that this would have just been a flat bed bc those strings would have been gone the first time they were getting settled.

Great Beds

I ordered 3 of these beds last weekend, and they came in today. My fuzzy kids include 2 large Rottweilers and a golden retriever. These beds are plush and huge!

I ordered 3 of these beds last weekend, and they came in today. My fuzzy kids include 2 large Rottweilers and a golden retriever. These beds are plush and huge! Even with the sides tied up all 300 plus pounds of kids cuddled comfortably in one bed. The white interior will be tough to keep clean, but the tag indicates that they are washable. They are very plush and the dogs so far love the one that we opened. I liked it so much I just ordered 3 more. One for the camper, one for the back of my Highlander, and a spare in case my 1 year old Rottie destroys one.

This bed is perfect for my Great Dane. I actually napped on it with him to get him used to it, because he doesn’t like change, and wanted his old bed. If you have a super larger breed like mine, I wouldn’t recommend using the ties to tie the corners, because the corners is always the problem with his beds. I just use it as a mat and give him a pillow. It’s plenty big enough for both of us and not using the ties makes it even larger.

The reviews are correct about the bed size being large. It would have been big enough for my 150 lb. St. Bernard. I have a hound mix that is about 70 lbs and he can spread completely out with room to spare. Bourbon loves his bed, he even sometimes prefers it over squeezing me out of my own bed. The inside is so soft, the color green is very pretty. I have it tied up on all sides, he doesn’t chew on things so the strings do not bother him. I have it on the floor next to my bed. He likes to lay his head up on something so the side is pushed down as he uses it for his pillow. He is happy and it doesn’t bother me. I have not washed it yet, but with the large size I may have to take it to a commercial washer at a laundromat. Bourbon and I highly recommend this bed.
