Other toothpaste worked fine, but this ,with consistent use , brought a gleam to his teeth we had not seen before . We thought he was going to lose a tooth, but it is staying in place. The peanut butter flavor makes this palatable. We follow up brushing with a spray. The combo makes his 13 tear old dachshund moth look like a teenager.

Not "Sealed"

I order this almost 2 weeks ago. When I wanted to use it a day ago, when I opened it, I noticed the tube "was NOT SEALED". I believe if you buy a product for humans or animals, if it is to be "injested", it is suppose to be "sealed"! (Hence the warnings on all food or drug products, not to use if the seal has been broken, etc..) Also, I agree with one other review by another customer, that: The tube has to be squeezed up to over half way, before the paste will begin to come out. So, it appears the tube is only half full. Now, if I had a scale, I could measure the weight of the amount of paste in the new tube. But, I can compare the "amount" of paste in this tube, by comparing it to the amount of some soft dog food I get in a small bag, that is also 3 Oz in weight. And the paste does appear to be quite less than my 3 Oz pkg of dog food. Anyway, my "main concern " is that this product, to be consumed, is NOT SEALED, and I cannot, nor will not, give it to my pet, for obvious health and safety concerns. I really wanted to try it, as it has very good reviews. But, unless I can get a "sealed" replacement of the product, then I will ask for a refund.

The tube was less then half full.

1 half full tube of doggy tooth paste in a big box is a waist of materials

I had been using the arm & hammer chicken toothpaste for my chihuahua for a while. He lets me do it but always grimaces like I’m shoving dirt down his throat. I decided to give this toothpaste a try and he actually willingly lets me brush his teeth every night! I have been seen improvement on the tartar on his front teeth as well

He does not like the toothpaste, like I said, has a horrible smell, and it actually makes their breath smell bad. When it dries, it turns whiteso be sure to wipe their face to get any toothpaste residue out of their mustache because it dries white and hard like a rock. I would not use this as my primary toothpaste. I would wipe this on their canines with my finger.

I have 2 dogs and they seem to tolerate it just fine. Compared to some other flavored toothpastes, the dogs seem to be ok with the taste, but they don't go after it the way they do with a beef or chicken flavored toothpaste. The toothpaste is clear, which is different, but the dispenser is great. It has a small opening, compared with the wide openings of other toothpaste tubes, which makes is much easier to put on the smaller toothbrush heads which I use for one of my dogs. Overall, pretty happy with this, especially as my dogs are getting more and more used to getting their teeth brushed!

Bad doggy breath improved and she loves the taste!

When I first received the product, I was concerned that my dog wouldn’t let me use it on her. She is 11 years old, and I’m trying to improve her bad breath and avoid

When I first received the product, I was concerned that my dog wouldn’t let me use it on her. She is 11 years old, and I’m trying to improve her bad breath and avoid a dental visit at the vet’s office. I tried several methods to apply it: using my finger to rub her teeth, applying it to a treat, and using a toothbrush. The treat application was the easiest, but I didn’t feel like it was effective. My dog was most tolerant of having it applied with my finger, while the toothbrush made her a bit anxious. Some people mentioned that the product is thick and difficult to squeeze out, but I didn’t have any issues. It is thick enough that it doesn’t run off my finger or the toothbrush, which made application easy. The product looks like a clear gel and has a peanut butter flavor, which my dog loved! This toothpaste is fluoride-free and is the first for dogs to feature advanced nano-hydroxyapatite technology. It is specifically designed to repair early-stage decay and rebuild enamel, resulting in stronger, healthier teeth—it really does seem like magic! I plan to continue using it to keep my dog healthy!

Red Flags

Don't let the big tube size fool you-- It is only 1/3 full. My tube came sealed so the only reason for the giant container is to fool you. And the smell is horrendous--
