I really wish i'd read the reviews before purchasing these. They were so incredibly hard that my senior German Shephard couldn't break them. So I thought ok, he's older so maybe it's just his teeth. I gave the bag to my friend with a 1 year old Frenchie and he had to try super hard before he could break one. I worry that too many dogs will just swallow these rock-hard pieces after managing to break off a piece. We threw the bag away. It's not worth the risk!
My dogs typically love these Ark Natural treats. The last few batches were hard as rocks and impossible to bite through. I could barely cut through it with a sharp knife. Such a shame that these batches made it out of their facilities.
Definitely a favorite both of us love this necessary treat!
It seems Ark Naturals had some issues. First they had a recall because of possible mold. We were able to get a refund from Chewy on the lot numbers that were affected by this recall. Then with the new bags we purchased...it appeared that there was a new formula and my girl would not eat the new product we purchased. It was hard and you could see the difference in the product. I contacted Ark Naturals directly to find out what was happening with the product. They let me know there was no new formula...the issue was some of the batches had been overcooked. They were informative and quick to offer a new bag be sent out to me. We just received the new bag and my girl couldn't be happier. It appears Ark Naturals has gotten a handle on the issue and going forward there should be no issues with the product. Don't give up on Ark Naturals. The product seems to be back on track.
I’ve given these to my senior chihuahuas as well as the younger. They love them and have helped keep their teeth healthy.
Agree with all the recent horrible reviews. We have been ordering Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste Small Gluten-Free Dental Dog Treats for several years for our 10lb Yorkie, alternating between these and Enzyme sticks throughout the week. He used to love these. However, the new formulation makes the ingredients so hard, including the toothpaste, that he cannot eat these anymore. They look and feel different, both visually and texture wise. I originally thought Chewy may have sent me a package of stale treats, so I asked Chewy to send me a replacement package, which they did, but it was the same formulation and inedible product. Therefore, , now I will be asking for a credit. I suggest Chewy stop selling these until the producer fixes the formulation.
I’ve been giving these to my 2 Pomeranians for several years, they have absolutely loved them. Over the last year or so I’ve seen the quality and consistency go steadily downhill with each order. Now they’ve been recalled due to mold issues. This company needs to work on their quality control
My dogs had some tarter build up and bad breath, I started giving them these with each feeding and their breath smells great and tarter build up is almost gone!
my dogs breath was horrible! Started giving him these because he refused me to brush his teeth and they work wonderful, he loves the taste
Like others here that left a review these things are now hard as rocks Been getting these for my dogs for about a year. would break one in half for our smaller dog. Now there is no breaking them. The smaller dog will not eat them as they are way to hard. The PIT just crushes them. Chew sent out a new box with the same results.. They refunded me my money. Will not buy these again till they fix their formula
