Bought this for my cat who is average in size. It tapers down too much in the back, vertically and horizontally so that there is no room to squeeze herself around

Bought this for my cat who is average in size. It tapers down too much in the back, vertically and horizontally so that there is no room to squeeze herself around to face the front opening. She has to back out. May be perfect for a kitten but not a grown cat.
