The texture is not the typical freeze dried brittle crunch. They have a nice soft squish to them with a powdery feel. However, dumping the bag out showed very little food “dust” that we expect from freeze dried foods. Any that show up when the bag is empty will just go on my dog’s food. I give them as rewards mostly when we’re out for a walk and they hold up very well to being jostled around in a treat bag. They are the perfect treat size for our 45 pound dog but they do break in half easily. The smell is not bad at all but our dog loves them. Yes, they smell like liver but only if you keep your nose in the bag. My hands don’t reek after touching them so that’s a huge plus. The only complaint I have is for the bag they come in. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good sturdy bag but I struggle getting the ‘ziplock’ to close. Not a big deal, I just use a separate container instead. They are made with high quality ingredients so I think the price is absolutely reasonable and well worth spending. We’ll be getting these again and trying the other flavors for sure!

I recently tried these dog treats and was initially very impressed with the ingredient list. As a dog owner who prioritizes high-quality, limited-ingredient snacks, I appreciated that these treats are made with clean, wholesome components and avoid unnecessary fillers. The texture and smell also seemed natural compared to many overly processed treats on the market. From a nutrition standpoint, I felt confident offering them to my dogs. However, despite the strong ingredient profile, my dogs weren’t particularly eager to eat them. I introduced the treats several times, in different settings, and even tried breaking them into smaller pieces, but the interest just wasn’t there. One of my dogs, who is usually very food-motivated, sniffed them and walked away, while the other would take one reluctantly but didn’t come back for more. This doesn’t necessarily mean there’s anything wrong with the product itself—every dog has different preferences—but it’s worth noting for owners with picky eaters. Overall, I think these treats have a lot of potential, especially for dogs with sensitive stomachs or those who benefit from simple, quality ingredients. Unfortunately, they just weren’t a hit in my household. I’d still recommend giving them a try, but individual results may vary.

Im giving this 4 stars because its not my picky dogs favorite so i cant tell if its him or the product itself. When opening package it smells real meaty my brother in laws pup came running to the smell and tried a couple pieces of it but he will eat just about anything. Its got a greenish gray color to it making it a little off putting but ill keep adding it to his dish till gone in hopes my picky boy will like it or give it to my brother in laws pup since he didnt seem to mind it. It does have good simple ingredients in it.
