Bark and Whiskers Detox Support Dog & Cat Supplement, 1.7-oz jar

Our 16 year old Cavachon's most recent blood work showed that his kidney levels were elevated and to keep an eye on them. I am unfortunately very aware of kidney issues due to my father having Chronic Kidney Disease which has progressed since last year. Since dogs can't get dialysis to clean out the toxin buildup like humans can, they need to detox. I noticed my dad's breath was smelling very metallic-y and his urine have using the bathroom is also very pungent - telltale signs that the body is high in toxins and not clearing out properly. So when my pup's breath started smelling like my dad's I knew I had to do something. Since I have detoxed throughout the years to cleanse liver and kidney, I went to work researching on detoxing for dogs. I settled on this one having been familiar with Dr. Karen Becker's work. We've been using for a few weeks now and the first thing I noticed is that his breath smelled more normal and he started drinking less water (the water intake had gotten out of control). He also is a little more active because he feels better. I know even when I get toxin release from a massage and if I don't drink enough water I feel heavy and sluggish. I can't imagine what it's like to feel like that for an extended period of time like my dad or pup. When I do smell pup's breath start to get pungent again, I give him a little more in his food. I mix it thoroughly with a 1/3 kibble, and then mostly his fresh food, really mix it up good! And then I top it with a full dropper of fish oil and we've had no problems with him eating it.
