When my neutered male dog developed fecal incontinence my vet had no answers to help me and said it just happens in older dogs. I've had older dogs before and I'd never had that happen. While the ASPC animal rescue centers are a godsend I believe they make the mistake of neutering males too young. My little one was neutered at 6 weeks old and suffered detrimentally from it. Growth hormone is vital to a dog's physical and emotional well-being. My mixed Pekingese and terrier had growth abnormalities (small head vs long legs), suffered from low appetite, dry stools and lacked confidence around other dogs in social settings. It is basically HRT for neutered males, but I'm sure it work wonderfully for older dogs whose hormones are on the decline too. My dog will be six this year and he's been on this supplement for 3 years. It has transformed him completely. He has a healthy coat, regular stools, excellent muscle density energy, is confident and he does soccer kicks after he urinates because he's fully in his male element. I believe he's even grown a little bit larger and fuller too. I started him on it when he was 3 years old. I wish I had just found it sooner considering how young he was neutered. But it's never too late to intervene, especially if you know something is off. I have a complete understanding now of how wrong it is to neuter male dogs so young, and I can only imagine some of the health problems and even behavioral problems that come as a result of mass neutering under the guise of population control in quick adoptions. Going forward I would not agree to such a young neuter. But what's done is done. I'm thankful I found this product and rescued my dog's health. One side thing I would caution is to not overdose your animal on this supplement either, especially if they're intact. The bull testes in this glandular could theoretically make them irritable and possibly aggressive. I have noticed that with his confidence he also tends to growl a little bit more if he experiences something he doesn't like, but it's nothing major and he still has his sweet demeanor and is well trained. Don't misuse this great supplement. Use it at the perfect recommended measurement. For my dog's weight he only requires half a scoop a day which I mix into his mash dinner. To the makers of this product - PLEASE don't ever change this formula or stop making it entirely. There are so many dogs that need this supplement for their well-being, just like people need quality supplements for good quality of life. Y'all have filled a void with this amazing product. My dog has been able to overcome the disadvantages he experienced early on and he will be on it for the rest of his good life. Thank you!!
