Our Staffie mix enjoyed this cozy bed while recovering from a major surgery when he could not get onto furniture to rest. The memory foam base is sturdy and the bolster makes a great pillow without crowding the sleeping space.
Honestly this bed is so flimsy. Ordered 2 and they are both the same. The side walls are so flimsy and the beds look cheap. Very disappointing.
My pup is a large breed, 11ys old. She is beginning to show signs of arthritis and this bed is great for her old achy joints. It also reduces the occurrence of pressure sores from lying around more in her old age. I wrap an old sheet over it when it is warmer out, she prefers cooler temperatures and the fleece makes her a little too hot in the summer and the sheet keeps the bed cooler for her.
Cushion is so thin. Bed overall sags. I inserted an additional sponge to add more padding and reduce sagging and it helped but it's still a deformed bed. Bed looks like it's bed through hell and back from the very beginning. Would not recommend at all.
The bolster is super flimsy and I ended up stuffing it with another dog bed part. The memory foam didn't expand enough to fill the bottom portion, it seems quite thin for my senior doggo. I expected more from the price point.
I've had this bed for my American Bulldog for about 3 weeks now. The orthopedic base layer feels very sturdy and comfortable, and I would anticipate that it held up for a long while. The base/orthopedic layer I would give 5 stars but the side bolsters are SO flimsy and unsupportive - there's really nothing there that provides any structure. If my dog puts his head on one of the bolsters it just kind of melts and fades into nothing (causing him to fall/slide out of the bed.
instead of being tall and fluffy, this was a flat disappointment. The side bolsters work, but we had to add extra padding to the bottom because there really wasn’t anything there. I got this because my dog has hip problems, but this bed is going to be like she’s sleeping on the floor. There’s nothing orthopedic about it.
Unwrapped the foam mattress and let it rise for 24hours. 2nd day and still waiting. Very flimsy bed. No bolster or bottom support. Supposed to be orthopedic maybe for a light weight dog. Would not recommend.
The reason I purchased this bed is so I could totally remove the cover for washing. The bottom and the top each have zippers so one can remove the innerds. I also liked the fact that it had memory foam base instead of the soft fill which gets lumpy over time. When I unpacked it I was sceptical as to whether the foam would expand to 3.5 inches in 24 hours as claimed. It is more like 3.25 inches which is fine. My dogs love their beds and go straight to them instead on jumping up on our bed like they used to. A good buy that I can recommend.
She loves it. Bottom cushion does not fill cavity. Side walls do not stand up. She can still snuggle. 55 pounds.
