Picky Great Dane, and not so picky Lab, Loved!

I loved the texture of this food. Not too soft or too crunchy. It smelled fresh and my dogs were excited to try it as soon as I opened the bag. Both of my dogs wolfed

I loved the texture of this food. Not too soft or too crunchy. It smelled fresh and my dogs were excited to try it as soon as I opened the bag. Both of my dogs wolfed this down, which isn't surprising for my Lab who woofs everything down. But it was unusual for my picky Great Dane, who visibly enjoyed this food. The best part is that it seemed to settle well with both dogs, which is good news for the Great Dane's sensative tummywilonce we ran out the Great Dane seemed especially sad.

This has been a great find. It’s slow-baked and air-dried, made with nutritious, high-quality ingredients like flaxseed, pumpkin, carrots, and blueberries. The kibble has a nice texture—firm but with a slight softness that makes it different from regular dry food. I’ve never seen kibble made this way before, and I really like it. My dog is 65 lbs and 2 years old, and he was immediately interested as soon as I opened the bag. He really enjoys this food! I feed him twice a day—1½ cups in the morning and 1½ cups in the evening—for a total of 3 cups a day, and he always finishes his bowl. The kibble is small enough that I sometimes use it as a quick treat or training reward—super handy. Overall, I’m really happy with this food, and my dog is too!

The slow baked and air-dried texture is a perfect balance—soft enough to break apart easily but still chewy enough to feel satisfying. My dog, who’s usually picky, devoured it right away and kept looking for more. I also love the ingredient list—real chicken and vegetables with no weird fillers or artificial stuff. It smells like actual food, not processed kibble. I added it as a topper to her regular food for a treat.

Quality, soft dog food, without refrigeration

I found Because It's Better soft dog food, because Finn stopped eating his dry dog food. I thought it might be hurting his teeth. I finally found Because It's Better

I found Because It's Better soft dog food, because Finn stopped eating his dry dog food. I thought it might be hurting his teeth. I finally found Because It's Better. No refrigeration necessary! Finn likes the taste and it's not as expensive as other human quality dog food. My only complaint is that Chewy sends the bags in a oversized box with no air pillows to take up the extra space in the box. The bags roll around and the food gets broken into smaller pieces and crumbs. I've been using Chewy for years and Ive been happy with everything, from their easy to use website to the quality of the items they offer. The one thing I've always felt is their packaging wasn't as efficient as it could be. Maybe it would help, and possibly be less expensive, if Chewy used appropriate sized boxes for the size of the order.
