Bedsure Square Bolster Dog Bed, Grey, Medium

This bed comes so flat from vacuum packaging that I hated it immediately. But I left it on the couch for several days and pets slowly began using it. It took over a week before any interest was shown. But now ALL of the 5 dogs and both cats have been in it. I put it on the floor so the big girls could use it and they both (83 pound German Shepherd and Doberman) will wrap themselves up in this bed. They fight over it. So my experience states the pets LOVE this bed. I purchased a medium size because I couldn’t afford to buy a larger one. I would like to have a larger one.

The faux fur and corduroy fabric appear to be of good quality. Additionally this bed has no chemical smells so that is a win. The bed arrives extremely vacuum sealed in a rectangular cube. It is supposed to take 24 hours to completely restore shape however letting it sit on its own, even for days, will not result in a product that is looks good and ready to go. lt requires some work, pulling apart the internal polyester filling clumps. Even with effort it will still be lumpy on the sleeping surface and sides but it look decent enough due to the furry fabric. A lumpy bed might be comfortable for many dogs but perfectionist owners or high maintenance dogs, be aware. The bed can be turned inside out to clean out crumbs that is bound to end up in the sides. I took a photo of the seams which are hidden in the crevices. The fur color helps camouflage the lumps. The bottom of the bed has the typical non skid bumps. Care tag indicates it is machine washable. I chose the medium and it was close to the described size (within 1") but not exact.

These beds are intended for small dogs so the bed in the photos is a large brown with our 45 lb. Penny in it. It could hold a slightly larger dog curled up but not laying across it. Penny was very vocal about trying it out! And you can see by the blurred tail that she was enjoying it. It is very squishy and soft and furry. It arrives in the box compressed, as you can see in the photo with the soda can, and suggests 24 hours to fluff up but I did not find it took that long after I kneaded it and massaged the inner fluff around after unpacking it. Good instructions are included for this. There is a grippy bottom fabric, which is nice, so it doesn't slide all over a hard floor when she gets in and out. The "side rails" are very squishy too and I would have preferred them to be more solid. There is no removable, washable zippered cover. I don't know how well the inner fluff would handle it if I threw the whole thing in the washer. That information was not included inside the packaging I received.
