How many scoops are in a jar?

Answer by PaigeAug 12, 2022
I give this to my dog twice a day and it lasts a little over a month. I’d say about 60 scoops.

Is this meant to be used daily? Or is it safe to be used daily for long term?

This nutritional supplement should be given daily as needed whenever your dog experiences periods of irregularity.

I received a "6 oz." container of Bern psyllium fiber for dogs for $22.95 ($3.82/oz.) and noticed the powder took up less than 1/2 of the container. No problem if the company uses the same container for 6 oz. and 12 oz. However, when I weighed the contents on my kitchen scale, the powder weighed 5-5/8 oz. I think I was shorted by at least 6% or $1.43. More importantly, it's very bad policy to short your customers any amount. On the other hand, the product seems to work well. My dog had blood in some of her stool and was recommended by my vet to use psyllium fiber. The psyllium fiber has treated the problem well so far.

I have one of the pickiest dogs in history. This was bought for him since he was having trouble with his digestion. He LOVES it. He gets excited when I put it on his food. Since the other dog watches every move we make she gets some too (if she sees us putting it on his food she won't start eating till we put it on hers). I have seen an improvement in both of their poops. They are more form and they pass them with ease.

Ingredients were what I was looking for. Basic psyllium fiber with not much else in addition. The 12 oz jar I ordered comes only partially full and the opening of the jar and the scoop size is such that you can’t easily scoop out a serving without hurting your hand. I ended up transferring the contents into a wide, shallow tupperware.

Not easy to use

Well it's ok if you serve dry kibble and can get your dog to eat it. Second if you feed wet food then it's not so easy to feed, if you mix 6oz water to it an add

Well it's ok if you serve dry kibble and can get your dog to eat it. Second if you feed wet food then it's not so easy to feed, if you mix 6oz water to it an add to wet food, we'll let's say it's not practical. Neither of my pups will use this so I donated it to my local shelter hoping they can use it. Suggest find something else.

Ease for difficult poo’s

This helps my dog with his poo’s. He was having a difficult time. Highly recommend. Follow instructions so your pet gets plenty of water.

My 3 year old, female Doberman, has had poop problems since we got her. The vet did some blood work and recommended putting fiber in her food (she was already on pre/probiotics). After using this, her poop has become more firm/normal. I have been using this for over a year and will continue it.

Poop patrol

This has helped firm his poop up enough to pick up easier but I wish I could find just psyllium fiber without any additional ingredients per my vet.

A lifesaver

We had a young husky pulled by a rescue we contacted 1-1/2 hours before euthanasia at a metro animal control that had 540 dogs impounded. AC said she was too sick for us to adopt. After adopting her we needed to help her gut system. Her dx was dysbios. With hydrolized protein kibble, this product along with a capsule of certain pre and probiotics (Visbiome), she no longer has diarrhea. She has been a happy dog since we brought her home, even with her unsettled digestive system. She is loving life!
