How are Bully Sticks made?
Bully Sticks in general are made differently depending on the vendor. Our bully sticks are cleaned and sorted in a refrigerated facility to ensure safety. The bully sticks are then hung vertically from racks and cooked in an oven to ensure that they are bacteria free and safe for dog’s consumption. Hanging the bully sticks vertically removes most of the moisture from the product. The longer that they are dried, the less odor they have.
How Long Do Bully Sticks Last?
This really depends on your breed and their level of aggressiveness when chewing the product. We have found that many of our bully sticks, given to the appropriate sized dog, will last from several hours to several days.

Dogs love these

We had previously purchased the longer bully sticks - the smell was terrible- dogs loved them though. So we have just tried the shorter version & they seem a bit less smelly. Dogs still love ! Everyone is happy.

My dog loved these but these are in no way "odor free". I don't think I can buy them again because they made everything stink. I buy bully sticks all the time and have found many that smell way less than these.

Great treats, but skeptical on sizing

I love chewy and shop almost exclusively through them, so this is in no way a poor review of chewy but a way to help out pet parents looking to pick the best value for their money and see which size is most appropriate for their dogs. I purchased both the “thick” and “jumbo” since I could not figure out which would be better for my dogs, and what I found out is that neither size is particularly thicker than the other, and if there is any sizable difference between the standard and the thick or jumbo, I do not see it. My dogs enjoy the bully sticks, but the sizing is misleading and I am skeptical of future purchases from the bully company in regard to their sizing and price point. I wish I had a bag of the standard sizes to compare with, but I only have a bag of I & Love & You brand bullies to compare to for that, and since they’re different companies, I didn’t think that would be appropriate for comparison sake. … more

My dog absolutely loves these bully sticks. I have been ordering them in my autoship since May of this year. However, due to an almost 40% hike in price in the past 5 months, I just can't continue on with this product. :(

Truely the best of the bully's

Ordered this for my two new puppies, both being standard poodles, as I caught them trying to chew on my woodwork! Wanted something that would keep them busy while I'm not able to sit with them. They last a long time, 5 and 6 days depending on pup, and they go crazy for them. They loved the smell, as they could smell them thru the shipping box. Will be buying them again. They jumped for joy when I opened the box. So cute!

After discovering how much my husky loves bully sticks I've been looking for ones that he doesn't get through in minutes. If you get a normal pack of 12" bully sticks there are usually a couple bigger ones and the rest are on the thinner side. These jumbo ones came a day ago and Jake is still working on the first one (I measured, it's still 10" long); and by working on it I mean he hasn't made a lot of progress. He'll gnaw on it on and off, all day, for 15-30 minutes at a time, if not longer. They do have that bully stick odor but that honestly doesn't bug me much, plus I've heard if you leave the bag open so they air out then the smell goes away. Their name says it all. They are the best. My schnauzer loves them. They are one chew stick we can give her that isn’t gone in an hour! They do have an odor in The bag, but not noticeable after that.
