Beware of Safety Issues - My Yorkie’s Close Call
I’m a dedicated dog lover, and my furry friend means the world to me. So when I recently purchased a bully stick from Chewy, I had high hopes for a safe and enjoyable playtime.However, my experience has left me deeply disappointed and concerned for the safety of our beloved pets. My Yorkie had a near-choking incident while being closely supervised. Within 15 minutes of being given the item the incident my Yorkie nearly choked. The incident was terrifying, and it could have ended tragically. What’s even more disheartening is how the The Best Bully Sticks Company handled my complaint. Their response was shockingly nonchalant and dismissive. They didn’t seem to grasp the gravity of the situation, which only added to my frustration and worry. Chewy however, has done their due diligence with handling the situation. But my ordeal isn’t an isolated incident. I did some research and discovered that there have been other reports of similar incidents involving their products, some as recent as last month. This is absolutely unacceptable! The safety of our pets should be their top priority, and it’s clear that this company falls short in that regard. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company or their products to any fellow dog lovers out there. Our pets deserve better. Safety should never be compromised when it comes to the products we trust to keep our furry family members happy and healthy. I sincerely hope that the company takes these safety concerns seriously, addresses the reported incidents, and puts in place strict quality control measures to prevent any more close calls or tragedies. Until then, I’ll be looking elsewhere for dog products that I can trust to be safe for my beloved Yorkie.
Skinny, low calorie
These things are ideal if your dog is on a diet. They look nothing like the pictures and are incredibly thin. I'd say better options out the for cost to weight ratio. My dogs still enjoyed chomping on them for the short few minutes that they lasted. I won't purchase again, not good value for money.
Dog Mom
After reading the negative reviews on thin bully sticks, I thought I might add my review on them also. I have been purchasing bully sticks for my dogs for many years. I have always purchased a certain type of bully stick based on how large my dog is. For many years, we had larger dogs like Shepherds and Labs. Those dogs could easily handle a 12" thick bully stick. I would never have given my larger dogs a 6" thin bully stick. I now have a 20 lb. smaller dog and I only give her the 6" bully sticks. For a while, I purchased the normal 6" bully sticks, but they lasted for more than one day. Our little one didn't care for them as much unless they were fresh from the refrigerator each time. Since she is little 20lb. dog, and since she likes to eat them mostly in one sitting, we switched to the 6" thin bully sticks. The thin bully sticks have been wonderful for our little one. Try keeping them in the refrigerator and see if your dog enjoys them even more. We just ask her if she wants a cold one!! 😃 I would just add that, in my opinion, I think it's very important to go by the size and type of dog that you have. It's not a one size fits all dogs. Just my opinion.
Smaller than expected
Bear is about 20 pounds and these are too small for him. he is a chewer and finished the first in in about an hour- once he is done with these I will get a larger size
Very thin
They're much thinner than I expected. I think the ones labeled "thick" are the same size as others that are standard. But I know they don't have questionable sources and are not Chinese manufactured, so I bought them. They have other great products, I just won't buy this pack again.
Terrible product, beware
I was looking for reasonably priced bully sticks and saw these so decided to give them a try. They are SO thin that me little ten pound dachshund can literally eat one whole piece in about five minutes! That was NOT what I was looking for. I wanted normal bully sticks that last for days or weeks for her to chew on. It concerns me how fast these can be eaten, as one second it’s there and the next it’s gone, like she is swallowing them while they’re still somewhat firm. Anyway, they’re nothing like a bully stick and I will never buy them again.

My dog loves these chew sticks, and they help with keeping her teeth clean along with brushing.
Switching to mostly bully sticks!
I’ve used knotted rawhide chews for my dog and puppies in the past but the bully sticks seem to be more digestible. Fast order and delivery with chewy’s!

My sister was supposed to get her wet cat food but instead I was the one that got a treat. These came by mistake so since we were allowed to keep them my Minion (Mom) let me try one. I LOVE THEM!! I’m going to make her get more.
Dogs Love Them, Smells Bad
My dog, a very picky eater, absolutely goes nuts for these. They smell bad when you open the bag but he usually takes it outside if we allow him. Pricey but they keep him entertained when he's being extra and we need to get him to tone it down.
