Ecokind Gold Yak Himalayan Cheese Dog Treats

I am a very frequent purchaser of the 5 lb bag of this manufacturer's cheese chews. I didn't hesitate to start ordering from Chewy, my preferred provider, when I saw this offered. My disappointment in receiving a product which smelled moldy, with visible signs of mold, distressed me. My dogs refused them. The freshener pack was missing from the bag. I remedied the problem by soaking them in warm water for an hour, then taking a knife and scraping all of the exteriors of each stick. Reimmersion in cold water for another hour, and then 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven seems to have resolved the issue so far. My 3 dogs loves these chews and I highly recommend them. I've ordered these from other sources and my near 68 lb Staffordshire Terrier Puppy ADORED these and kept her entertained for hours, especially during her teething phase with NO upsets. HOWEVER severely disappointed in Chewy, just began using them but of course I am not sure if these where held in a warehouse somewhere for much too long because one package I received was ok seemingly, but the second one there was damage to some of the sticks looking like puncture marks AND IT IMMEDIATELY BECAME MOLDY not long after receiving. And then the second did as well!! I bought these for my 106lb German Shepherd that we had recently adopted. We finished the bag that was sent with her, so I wanted to buy more of her favorite chews. When opening the bag, I immediately noticed a smokey smell that the previous ones did not have. I gave one to my dog & instead of laying down to chew on it, she went to bury it. When she finally ate it, she devoured it in about 1/2 hour, compared to 3 days for the previous ones. They were softer. I recently went to give her another one & noticed that the whole bag was moldy. I had to discard the remaining 5 chews. These things are not cheap. I would definitely not recommend them due to the inconsistent quality.

I opened the bag and it reeked of mildew. There are white mildew spots and the chews a greenish color. I would never give something like that to my dogs. For over $80.00 I would think the quality would be a lot better and these should never had been shipped to me.

these got moldy within two months of keeping them in my treat cabinet. there’s no expiration date or best buy date so I’m not sure why they went bad within two months (maybe sooner. just took me two months to notice)

I have purchased these Yak chews in the past and my dogs have loved them. The last bag I opened was full of mold and smelled terrible so I wasn’t able to give them to my dogs. Also, the bag I opened before these I noticed my dogs munched down super fast. In the past, they have lasted for days. I’m not sure what’s going on with the quality but I am going to go with another brand in the future.

We have 2 small dogs (Shorkies) and they absolutely Love these treats! I love being able to find great treats and food for our dogs from “Chewy,” and not having to go out to make my purchases. This is a Great company, that offers great products, and timely delivery. I would Definitely recommend them, and one great product they offer “EcoKind” Himalayan dog treats.

Mom bought these after I loved some other ones but these were ROCK HARD!!! Now they just lay around after mom has been trying to soften them up in water :(

I have had dogs for years but I just found out about these treats recently. They last a whole day or more depending on your dogs determination. I definitely need treats that will hold my dogs attention. Toys are destroyed in minutes! This brand contained a good number of treats for the cost. I am sure I will be buying this again.

I have tried several different brands of yak chews and my dog loves them all. However these ones seem to be softer than others resulting in him being able to chew these faster. One Chew lasts about 2 days for him where other brands can last as long as a month. Would be excellent for light chewing dogs but not heavy chewers like I have.
