How do I measure?

Always measure your pet's chest and neck and refer to the sizing chart for the best fit. Measure around the chest, right behind the front legs. Then measure around the base of the neck.

Exactly what I was looking for

My Chico has on a size M harness. His chest is 18". His neck is 12". He weighs 16 lbs. I read all the reviews and comments. I measured him three times. I don't know

My Chico has on a size M harness. His chest is 18". His neck is 12". He weighs 16 lbs. I read all the reviews and comments. I measured him three times. I don't know why anyone would have problem with not getting the correct size. This harness is exactly what I was looking for. I put in on the floor and he steps in. The Velcro snugs him perfectly. The plastic buckle is stiff, but I squeezed it a few times with a pliers to loosen it up so it wouldn't be so hard on my fingers. His leash goes on nicely and he walks great with me. No choking around the neck. No straps that all have to be adjusted. It is soft and lightweight, and he seems really comfortable in it. Nothing is binding or digging into his body. If he could talk, he would say "I like it!" I like it too.

Not a good choice for a cat. (Duh)

I was looking for a better harness for my adult cat and decided to buy this one (I shouldn’t have considering this harness was not made for cats). It’s okay, he can walk perfectly fine in it, and it fits him well enough. But, the shape of the harness is definitely not for a cat. The shape of the arm holes aren’t ideal and they gap at the top around his shoulder. Also, when measuring neck measurement, make sure you measure from the front of their neck around to their shoulder blades. While I’m keeping this harness to use for my cat because it’s not uncomfortable for him and he can’t escape out of it, I do NOT recommend it for cats. Buy one specifically designed for cats.

Feel very secure with this harness. Originally purchased a small for my new puppy who was less than 5 lbs. Needed to purchase xs. Kept small to grow into. It is fairly easy to put on puppy but she has to step into it. It has Velcro close with fastener over. Hook on leash to 2 metal loops. Good for car fastener too.

Also, it's the orange with black trim but the orange shown is brighter. The one we actually received is a fuller orange. Overall, it's cute and easy to put on.

Great harness!!

This harness work’s great for my 12 pound Shih-Tzu. I got a small hoping it would fit. And it fit’s just perfect. And the bonus to me was that it doesn’t get tangled
