My service dog loves these chews as both a temporary toy (he throws it around the room then pounces on it) and as a de-stressing activity (chewing it). I used to give him yak chews and antlers but one doggy root canal later, I only give him these chews which his dentist recommends. My dachshund nephew loves these as well but can only get the full chewing experience with either the smaller size or a chew this size that my dog has already started on.

HORRIBLE chews

I usually give my dog Pork Chomps chews since they're safe, digest well, come in a variety of shapes/sizes, and take a while for her to eat. I wanted to try different

I usually give my dog Pork Chomps chews since they're safe, digest well, come in a variety of shapes/sizes, and take a while for her to eat. I wanted to try different chews to mix things up now and then and preferably find ones that take her longer than 30 minutes to finish. I never wanted to risk the dangers of rawhide but thought I would test out the "better digestibility" claim of these chews when they went on sale. These are HORRIBLE, DANGEROUS chews and I will NEVER buy them again. My 60lb power-chewing pittie mix normally takes 20-30 minutes to eat the comparably-sized Pork Chomps Baked Rolls. She was biting off huge chunks of this roll in under a minute. She put the roll between her jaws and it took almost ZERO EFFORT to chew through it. Thank god I was watching her or she would have swallowed them whole and either choked or gotten a blockage. At the rate she was going, she would have eaten the entire roll in 5 minutes or less. The rest of it went in the trash. DO NOT BUY THESE CHEWS!
