Expected Softer

I purchased this for my son's 3 year old Border Collie mix, since it said soft density. The dog has some genetic dental issues and has to have his teeth treated

I purchased this for my son's 3 year old Border Collie mix, since it said soft density. The dog has some genetic dental issues and has to have his teeth treated and cannot have hard bones. Unfortunately, the bone wasn't soft enough. It may be soft in the sense that a tough chewer could do damage to it. Also, it is not mini at all, so I can't give it to my pup (toy poodle).

I’ve bought these a few times just because they seem to be the only “bone” he stays interested in for more than a week. I have to watch him as you do find little pieces laying around as he chews on it. No stomach issues or issues with big pieces being chewed off.

Our dogs love these!

We have 3 dogs of varied breeds and sizes. We’ve tried the Betterbone hard, medium, and soft densities. Each of our dogs prefer the soft, which we buy in the large

We have 3 dogs of varied breeds and sizes. We’ve tried the Betterbone hard, medium, and soft densities. Each of our dogs prefer the soft, which we buy in the large bone size. Yes, they chew them into pulp, which can be messy, but it’s still worth it to keep them occupied. Highly recommend.

For dogs that NEED to chew

He destroyed it. Kept him busy. Have to make sure he doesn’t eat it though. A worthy purchase as long as you keep him from eating it.

Didn't work for my small pup

Although it's a "mini" size, it was still a bit large for my puppy. She doesn't use it, because she can't really get her mouth around it. Seems to be good quality

Good for heavy chewers

My dog is a HEAVY chewer, so I've been looking for chew toys that can hold up to her jaws. I was pleased to find BetterBone, which seems like a healthier and safer

My dog is a HEAVY chewer, so I've been looking for chew toys that can hold up to her jaws. I was pleased to find BetterBone, which seems like a healthier and safer choice than some of the other chews which are made of plastic. I tried the "hard" density bone first, because of my dog's heavy chewing, but it was actually a bit too hard. Tried the "medium" and "soft" next, and she really prefers the soft one, which is still quite hard. She's been steadily chewing through it and it's lasted quite a few weeks now. My only complaint is that it does leave little shavings/granules on the floor as she chews, but I guess that's to be expected. Will purchase again.
