Too Fishy and Runny

I ordered two different flavors of the pouches this time rather than the 5oz cans. Upon opening the pouches, the fishy smell was overwhelming, so much so that I couldn't bear to bother to scrap the content from the pouch. I quickly gave to my two cats, thinking as long as they like the food, that's all I care. No, they didn't like either of the two flavors. I gave them all to my neighbors hoping her cat would eat. Unfortunately, a NO GO either.

Kitty liked it okay, but it was hard to get out of the pouch

This is my first time ordering food in a pouch and it will probably be my last. The pouch does say it is recyclable but it would be pretty hard to get all the residue out of it prior to binning it. As is typical with high end foods, our cat scarfed all of this food down immediately upon her first exposure to it but only half of it the second time we served it, and less each time. It seems as though there is no one flavor that she will eat eagerly time and again so I often rotate through 3 different flavors or brands at a time to tempt her. It is difficult to detect a beef scent upon opening the pouch, but the color is dark brown and I am grateful for this reason that my cat didn't vomit afterwards. (She usually tolerates all types of wet foods except the brand F.--F.-- in the little can). I did notice a fresh tuna smell. This food is pretty runny in consistency, like a stew and not a pate. Great quality brand and reasonably priced for a high end wet cat food.

ALL of the house cats and feral cats love this.

Our house cats are very picky. Some don't like wet food, some don't like fish, some don't like chunky wet food, some hate dry food. But they ALL like this one. I even used this to administer flea medicine to a feral cat I feed outside. For the first time, the feral cat did not touch the food when I added the medicine. The next day, I mixed the medicine in the BFF OMG pouch and she finished it clean.

Excellent Substitution

Recently my Maine Coon cat's favorite food was out of stock. I substituted the BFF and it was well received. Portions are large but so is my kitty. Chewy as always had prompt delivery.

Major fail at our house, unfortunately

I had such high hopes for this based on reviews, especially for our 2 senior cats who need a lower phosphorus food. Unfortunately 3 of our 4 cats wouldn't even eat a bite no matter what I tried, and our 4th cat would only begrudgingly eat it throughout the course of the day if I kept adding freeze dried topper. I don't know why my cats wouldn't go for it, it's a great quality food. I am happy the company recycles the pouches though, and I hope more companies will soon do the same.

Cat LOVES This!

The minute I open this package, my cat appears from no where. She LOVES it. And, unlike other reviewers, I don't have any problem with this packaging. In fact, it seems more environmentally healthy than a can, so I'm all for it!

It's a Miracle

My girl is a picky eater...our friend introduced us to bff...my midnight loves it. My boy eats anything but does not finish his plate...with bff my chance asks for seconds.

No complaints!

Both my girls eat this without an issue. Having trouble getting it all in the bowl? GET A SPOON you whiners!! A long-handled teaspoon works best.

We're now afraid of running out!

Our cat AGGRESSIVELY loves this food. We're a bit terrified of running out. If anything happens to us, question the cat first! In all seriousness though, we're so happy to find this food. Our vet recommended this as a low-potassium option for our aging kitty's early-stage kidney issues. She gets a pouch of this in the evening (gets a another type of canned food in the am) and she goes absolutely bonkers for this. Maybe it's correlation and not causation, but our kitty who is normally aloof has never been this playful. I have to believe it's at least partially a matter of getting her on a diet that better fits her needs but it's so heartwarming to see our old girly playing like a kitten again.

Soup for Fur babies

Cats love this> I add just a littler bit of water and stir well. Can get 3 tablespoons. 1 tablespoon for each of my 3 cats. They love their soup. Plus they get dry food.
