Have 20+ videos with zero birds. No way to filter for only birds. Any movement sets off camera. Except apparently birds Tried adjusting sensitivity. I know birds have been at feeder because seed is missing. Also no way to set times for notifications or a record only during daylight hours so the holiday lights and car headlights kept cycling the camera on after dark.

This Birdfy feeder was easy to set up and install, and the birds were attracted to it on the first day. I like that it’s a natural wood material (vs. plastic), but I have had squirrels actually chew my wooden birdfeeders in the past, so I added a slinky to the pole to deter them from trying to get to the feeder. Time will tell how well that works. Mounting hardware and instructions were included and I have it mounted on a pole from a deck on the second floor of my house (because we also have bears that get to ground feeders), but instructions for wall mounting looked easy, too. It’s easy to refill, and the solar panel keeps the camera charged well. My favorite part is the clarity of the images that the camera captures and the ability to download them to my phone for sharing. I’m hoping for a winter of entertainment with this feeder!!

Wow! I am blown away by this feeder. I have a Birdfy feeder in my back yard and wanted a second for the front to see more birds. The design of this feeder is so mid century and cute. They have really made improvements on this model compared to the one I put up one year ago. This model doesn’t have exposed wires to the camera or solar panel, which means squirrel resistant! Squirrels chewed through my other solar panel cord and although it was easy to swap out, it’s nice to have this panel mounted directly to the roof instead. The camera snaps into the feeder with a magnet, so easy! I mounted the feeder to a tree, so it is under partial shade and still receives plenty of sun to keep the camera charged. The picture on the Birdfy app is extremely clear. You get a lot for your money with this. I plan to purchase a hummingbird feeder next. I like how they all tie into the Birdfy app and you can rename each camera as well

While this may not have all the bells and whistles of the Birdfy Pro, the sleek design and easy assembly led me to give a 5 star review. Additionally, the camera seems to produce excellent quality videos that are clear, crisp and sharp. The assembly instructions are minimal but clear. A little disappointed that the instructions advise -at the end of the booklet- to seal the feeder with wood finish. That would’ve been helpful to know upfront. Otherwise, I adore this feeder and so do our local birds.

Beautiful and fun

First of all, this looks so sharp. The sharp lines and wood with the black solar panel make it look really modern. I love that it has a built-in solar panel. Charging was one of the biggest issues with our older version of feeder. It was a pain to take it down to charge and the add-on solar panel always looked out of place and was hard to get to stay put. Being built-in also means it stays in place so it's never turned away from the sun. And of course, it's just a great feeder. It's always fun to see what birds stop by during the day. We've gotten some great pics and video.

The perch cracked where it inserts into the bird feeder, so there is nowhere for the birds to perch to feed. I tried gluing it and it won't hold, so this item is now worthless. Too expensive to be garbage after only 5 months, and I don't understand why thin, cheap plastic that cracks was used for the perch. I am very unhappy with this!!!

Mostly Great

I have had this now for a couple weeks. The very first thing I noticed when assembling the perch into the feeder is that the perch is flimsy plastic and I questioned myself if it was going to break before I was able to push the tabs into place. Then I noticed now long it was and how that made it even more springy once it was attached. I joked and said “hope a fat bird doesn’t land on this” because it really flimsy plastic. I also think that over time in the heat and the cold and the use of eventually the material will become weathered and crack and break. The camera works good and the setting for being able to to shorten the. Cool down period is nice. The camera takes pretty decent shots. The solar panel works wonderful on this feeder option (does not work well on the netvue duo birdhouses) I charged the camera fully indoors and then plugged it into the solar panel and it is STILL at 100% and it’s been over a week now. Now let’s talk about the weird gadget it came with. My instructions do not show this being included - and mentions nothing of it for installation. I google lensed it but it came up with nothing but everyone asking what it was. Since It fits on the perch, I thought maybe it was a backdrop, to help shield the bright background so the that the bird won’t be a black silhouette in the picture. And maybe that is the intent. But the bird will no longer fit on the perch (especially bigger birds) front facing. So I really don’t know. Plus. It’s very heavy and putting it on the end of the perch weighs it down so it’s a terrible idea to use it there anyway. Food- there is ample space to pour in the food with a good capacity. Sometimes the notifications can be a bit much. But they can be turned off. It does pick up movement from several feet away. (If someone walks by feeder or is out mowing the lawn - the camera will activate) Over all I think this feeder is fun. I hope to enjoy this camera feeder for a long time. Good value for the money.

This is our second Birdfy bird feeder. We like the looks of this one much better than the plastic one. And the solar panel is part of the roof! The solar panel for our other feeder is attached by a cable and had to be mounted separately. As someone else mentioned, the camera cannot be adjusted like the more expensive models, but for the price this camera takes great video and the angle of the camera captures the birds perfectly. I highly recommend this to feeder.

I received the order quickly, set it up easily. There is one weird little screw thing that was a little annoying until I realized it was a magnet (oops). I had an older Birdfy feeder that was cool but it got taken out by squirrels who chewed the cord to the solar panel. Its nice having it all in one piece with no cords.
