Having two dogs with skin issues, I'm always looking for something that will help with the itchies and coat loss during allergy season. First, I love that these have no corn, wheat, or soy, all of which are triggers for my dogs. It can also be really difficult to find soft chews that don't contain chicken or beef as flavoring, so that's a huge plus too. With turkey and salmon for flavor, these are a good option for grain and chicken sensitive pups. They DO have flaxseed which has not been a problem for us as far as allergies. The main ingredient, EpiCor, is a dried, fermented yeast which provides antioxidant and gut support. It also contains honey, which can be good for allergies. Both of my dogs readily eat these chews. My golden does her best every day to convince me that I "forgot" to give them to her. My only complaint is that with 3-a-day dosing, we go through these very fast vs. 1-a-day supplements. After several weeks of daily use, I feel like one of my dogs has less itch and a nice, shiny coat. She also tends to get saliva staining from licking and I noticed less of that as well. I'll take whatever improvement I can get during peak allergy season! However, these did not have much of an effect on my other dog with very dry, flaky skin... unsurprising as it does not contain a fatty acid supplement. Overall, this is a pretty targeted, more limited ingredient supplement than many, which is a huge plus for dogs with food allergies. It may not be the right fit for every dog, but I love that they're easy to give, corn/wheat/soy-free, and don't contain chicken or beef!

Moose seemed to enjoy the smell of these, he came to inspect them as soon as I opened the container. Thankfully, the smell is not overbearing to me at all. Moose took one and tried it, decided he liked it and ate the other four. Dogs over 81 lbs it says to give 5 of these too. Not sure I would order these myself, due to the fact a container of them would last us less than 4 weeks if I gave him the 5 daily.

Upset dog’s tummy

I tried giving these soft chews to one of my Toy Poodles, but it’s not for us. After 3 days, it made her vomit and she wouldn’t eat them anymore. I gave it two stars

I tried giving these soft chews to one of my Toy Poodles, but it’s not for us. After 3 days, it made her vomit and she wouldn’t eat them anymore. I gave it two stars instead of one because maybe it just didn’t settle well with her. As for the ingredients, they seem pretty good. I like that it included EpiCore, a postbiotic. It includes blueberries and apples for antioxidants. The downside is that there’s no research or science behind this brand to support their claims, but there isn’t anything harmful in the ingredients. I’d rather see the science to back it up, or in the least have a vet that helps to formulate it. Overall, I don’t think that I’d recommend this one.

My primary concern with edibles I give my dog is the ingrediants. In reading the list, I found the ingrediants to be of a natural source. Items include honey, flaxseed, apple and natural turkey flavor for the turkey flavored one. They are soft and easy for my dog to chew. Given she is less than 20 pounds and the jar contains 120 chews, this is a 4 month supply. Larger dogs will require more and the recommended dosage is given. The most is 5 chews for a dog 80 or more pounds. Because I've only given for a week, I can't fairly judge the benefits as yet which is why I gave 4 stars. However, I find she has no problem eating them and the ingrediants would seem to be of benefit for any being. Will update after she's taken for a while.
