Instructions
How To Apply Nose Butter In Tins
- Warm product before application for faster absorption
- To warm; stick in your pocket, bra, or scoop some out & warm in palm
- Open the tin
- Scoop a bit out appropriate to the size of your dog's nose (warm as above)
- Dab it on their nose. Tah Dah!
- You do not have to rub it in, it will melt, unless your dog licks it off (keep reading)
- Distract to keep them from licking (see below)
- Repeat 2-3x a day for 1-3 days or until nose is back in shape
- Then use as needed for maintenance (usually 1-2x a week)
How To Apply Nose Butter in Tubes
- Warm product before application for faster absorption
- To warm; stick in your pocket, bra, or scoop some out & warm in palm
- Point the tube away from their eyes
- Swipe/dab across the top of the nose, like applying lip balm
- Rub in if your dog has a tendency to lick
- Distract to keep them from licking (see below)
- Repeat 2-3x a day for 1-3 days or until nose is back in shape
- Then as needed for maintenance (usually 1-2x a week)
Tips for Distracting Your Dog After Application
- Give a cookie or treat
- Feed their dinner (with extra yummies)
- Play your dog's fave game
- Throw a ball
- Go for a walk
- Pet them, lavish praise for their overall good dog-ness
- TIP! Not only does something positive (cookies) take their mind off having something done to them, it also build an association between GOOD STUFF and NOSE BUTTER application.
For Extremely Dry, Crusty, Cracked Noses
- Apply as outlined above
- After 2-3 days of multiple daily application, test the crusty stuff with a bit of tissue and see if it will rub off
- If it does NOT crumble right off (it will look like black, greasy dirt), keep applying NOSE BUTTER 2-3x a day until it easily, without picking, comes off. Resist the urge to pick as tempting as it may be
- The crusty stuff is actually skin and hurts your dog if you pick it off, just like us pulling a scab off a skinned knee too soon.

Works great
My 6 y/o French Bulldog had an extremely dry & rough nose. After just 4 days of using this product his nose is moist & all the roughness is gone-it looks great. I did follow the directions by warming first then applying 3-4 times per day for 3 days. Now I apply as needed mainly at night. I highly recommend this product & will continue use for both my dogs
Pug nose barnacle begone
Just here to add to the already stellar reviews. This worked like a charm on my pugs nose when it started dry, scaly, and hard. It’s refreshing to buy something and have it just work!
Abbys lumpy bumpy very dry nose
Wonderful! My Abby has had problems with an extremely dry nose for to long, it was starting to grow little lumps over her tiny nose. Started using this product 4 days ago, and already half of the lumps are gone and I can start seeing her tiny nose again! I wish I found this earlier. I bought the nose butter that came in a container similiar to Chapstick, the product in the tin can didn't work as well.

Our vet suggested getting nose butter and it is awesome. Jasmine’s nose is much softer after only two days.
Not impressed
I was very hopeful this would improve my poodles dry noses but even with using it twice a day. I see very little improvement. Would not buy this product again.

Works better than expected
I'm very impressed with this product. However it is very important that you keep your dog occupied while applying the nose butter. Make sure you have some treats as you're applying, so that your dog will not lick its nose and be careful not to put it in his or her nostrils. I recommend taking a walk after applying to take her mind off of it and let the product seep in.
Love how well my dog’s nose is doing!
I bought the 2oz. tin, and no more than it takes at a time, I see it lasting a long time. My dog’s nose was in horrible shape. Within a day or two I saw a marked improvement. I’ve been applying it daily, two to three times a day for several days and all the warty look is gone, her nose is smooth looking, am still working on the split but that’s closing too. I just scrape a pea size or smaller amount on my thumb nail and apply. Had to use the trick of letting her get hold of her treat at first, but now she just lets me put it on. I think she knows it makes her nose feel better.
Awesome stuff
I have English bulldogs. They have same nose issue as French bulldogs. This stuff cleared Rebel's nose in just 3 days! I couldn't recommend this enough! Terrific stuff!
Great product
I ordered the nose butter for my daughter's french bulldog one day and received in less than 2 days! How is that even possible? It has really helped the dryness and he doesn't seem to mind the application(ordered the tube). Will be ordering more.
