Consistency of peanut butter
This item is doing the job - we hide medicine in it for our dog with a suspected chicken allergy. She is bothered by the consistency though - it sticks to the roof of her mouth and she spends a lot of time trying to get it off with her tongue. Next time we need wet food, I'll check for other chicken-free options.
Comes with an unexpected ingredient...
I was looking for a budget friendly, limited ingredient wet food to supplement my very allergic dog's dry food. She liked it well enough, but I scraped the bottom of the can one time, and the coating came off. It was definitely not food residue since I wash the cans out for recycling. Nope, that's not something she needs in her diet.
Dogs w heart issues
I bought this food thing I was doing the right thing for my dog who has a failing heart. At the vets appointment she asked what I was feeding. After I told her about this food she stated ,” we don’t recommend grain-free” after research we have found this could be contributing to heart disease in dogs ! Whoa! Looks like I won’t be feeding this. The regular lamb and rice was on back order I hate changing brands for fear of gi upsets. So that was a waste of 35 bucks
Success with food for a fussing puppy
Our Jack Russell has a sensitive tummy and this seems to set better with her and not upset her system. She seems to have issues at times with her food, but seems to really love this one.

We ordered this particular brand of wet food because our one dog has mild skin issues and he has been great with it. Both dogs love it, so we'll order again for sure.
Our picky eater loves it!
We couldn’t find the food our picky poodle was “tolerating” so we decided to try Blue Buffalo Basics. It looks and smells great and has nice chunks of potatoes. It doesn’t have chicken or other ingredients that bother him. He absolutely loves this food!!
High quality dog food if you dog has allergies.
Our Rottie is allergic to chicken, and we mix this with Blue Buffalo kibble. Great coat. Great bowel movements since. Great product. He loves the taste.
It’s paste!
I’ve ordered wet and dry food from Chewy.com by Blue Buffalo Basics and decided to switch up flavors so I tried the Buffalo Basics Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Lamb & Potato Adult Canned Dog Food. It’s difficult to mix with dry food. Anything for that matter. The fact that I have to spend more time mixing this specific flavor; I won’t buy it again.
