About BLUE Buffalo

Blue Buffalo began with unconditional love and some furry inspiration from a large breed Airedale, Blue. When Blue's family started a pet food company, their vision was clear. They wanted every pet parent to be able to feed their pet with the same care they would feed family. So they created the #1 natural pet specialty food to help furry family members live happy, healthy lives. Of course, they named it after Blue.

Maggie loves it.

After sticking her nose up at her food, we got desperate to find a food she would eat. She hasn't missed a meal since we started feeding it to her.

Points for grain-free, potato-free

Scruffy is allergic/sensitive to grains and white potatoes, and I had a very difficult time finding senior food for him without at least one of those ingredients. This one fits the bill. He gets a generous smear in the bottom of his bowl with his American Journey senior kibble, and he loves having that extra little bonus in the bowl

Dented Cans

Out of the case that I bought, over half the cans were dented. Just like with my other groceries, I don’t like to buy dented cans.

Take pea’s out!

I’m getting so tired of picking peas out of my can food. My dog loves the senior grain free chicken. But, hates the peas. Some cans have hardly any and others have tons of them. I read that peas are not good for dogs. Wish the company could remove them.

Peas in grain-free food

Started using this for my 13 year old chihuahua in November 2021. She had an appt at the vet today for her annual comprehensive exam. Vet said she has a pretty significant heart murmur (stage 4). This was never seen in her before today. Doing some research found out that there are studies that say grain-free food that uses peas, pea flour, pea extract, etc can cause heart problems in dogs. Have now taken her off the grain-free and started using a dry food for cardiac health. Hope this will stop or reverse the issue.
