All Blue Buffalo products are manufactured in the United States.

Where are the ingredients sourced from?

Answer by ChewyFeb 16, 2023
Blue Buffalo foods and treats are manufactured here in the USA. They source as many ingredients as possible from the U.S. Most of their grains and meats come from the USA. There are occasions when they source meat from other countries. For example, the lamb can be free range from the USA, Australia or New Zealand. I bought this for a dog recovering from a bleeding stomach ulcer. I'd been cooking chicken and rice for her for a few weeks but whenever I tried adding in any amount of this food she'd get diarrhea. My vet said that canned foods don't factor in moisture content when calculating fat content, and this food may not be as low fat as it looks. He said for OTC foods I might have better luck with a Science Diet digestive food, but for now I'm back to cooking for my dog while we wait for her Purina prescription food to arrive. I don't think this is a bad food but my dog just can't handle it right now.

I got this food because my dogs have had horrible gas for a couple of weeks. It helped with the gas, but I had to force my dogs to eat every meal, which is usually not a problem at all. So it worked wonders for the problem, but created another one in its place.

My 12 year old Puggle had the worst case of chronic gastritis right before Christmas. All the vets were closed. Was scrambling to find something he could keep on his stomach. Pureeing chicken and rice only to see him turn up his nose. I bought 3 cans of Digestive Care Formula, scared to death he'd take a bite and walk away. Voila!! He's bugging me every hour for a couple more bites and danciig a jig to get it. thanks Blue Buffalo for saving my baby.

Like pasty oatmeal

Well, my sheltie wasn't thrilled with this canned food so we sent it back to Chewy. She is a picky eater so we are still trying to find a Rx food she will eat.

My dog devoured this food!

My dog absolutely loved this food. I even gave her the spoon I used and she licked that and her bowl clean! I have never seen my dog enjoy a food as much as this

Closest non-prescription wet food I could find to Hill's Science Diet I/D.

My dog loves it and it seems to be helping a lot with calming down her gut and producing well-formed stools. I combine it with Blue Buffalo Blissful Belly dry food

Texture

My yorkies are having a very difficult time eating the food. It’s as if it’s very pasty and sticks to the roof of their mouths. They don’t seem to mind the taste
