First of all I'm seeing a LOOOT of comments saying that this made their cats throw up or gave them diarrhea. I hate to say it, but it was most likely the owners fault. WHEN INTRODUCING A NEW FOOD, YOU HAAAAVE TO DO IT EXACTLY LIKE THE CHART SAYS>>KEEP THEIR FOOD YOU'RE ALREADY USING & FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS ONLY PUT IN ABOUT 25% OF THIS NEW PATE. THEN FOR THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS DO 50%. THEN AFTER THAT, THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS (STILL *WITH* a little bit of the original food) GO TO ADDING 75%-AND BY THE 7th DAY THEY SHOULD BE OFF OF THE OLD FOOD & COMPLETELY ON THIS NEW FOOD! IF YOU JUST SWITCHED OUT THEIR OLD FOOD & GAVE THEM THIS? THEN YES YOU GOT THEM SICK! & THAT'S WHY YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE PRODUCT! BECAUSE LET ME TELL YOU, THIS IS AMAZING!! ITS HAS ZEROOO, I MEAN *NOOO* MEAT BY PRODUCT IN IT! PATE IS USUALLY JUST FAT & WATER, THAT'S WHY OUR CATS ARE STILL LEFT STARVING. THIS IS REAL INGREDIENTS REAL PROTEIN! 1 OF MY CATS NEEDED TO GAIN WEIGHT & I HAVE ALREADY NOTICED A DIFFERENCE! I AM SO THANKFUL. THEY LOVE IT & IT DIDN'T GET MY SENSITIVE KITTY SICK IN ANY WAY. AWESOME!
If you have a cat that loves fish, this might work for you. This food seems difficult for my cats to digest, but it might be because my cats are used to eating mostly chicken flavors...
Great brand with healtier options, but my cats seem to prefer junk that tastes bettter. Will keep trying.
I buy this food because it’s the only wet food she eats . I think by the time you are 17 or older , you deserve good food .
I had my two cats on the Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Chicken, and while they liked it, I noticed that they love their grain free salmon treats, also by Blue Buffalo. I decided to try the canned salmon, and they really liked this. They lick their bowls clean, and every time I go in the kitchen now, they watch me hoping to have it all the time! When you first open the can at room temperature, it's very watery and the can doesn't seem to be completely full of the pate food. But I include the 'juice' with their first serving and they devour every bit. Then I refrigerate it as I can get 3 feeds from each can. The food firms up in the fridge, and I warm it a little in the microwave for the next two nights' feeds, and it's not as watery. And I know it smells good to them, but gosh it's stinky! But, happy cats, happy meowmy! I'm glad Chewy had this in stock, it's getting harder and harder to find cat food in the stores. So a big thanks to them for all they do, and the shipping was very quick.
The first case I received was a big favorite of my 2 cats. They ate it enthusiastically and seemed to love it. The second case was of a noticeably different texture, which I noticed when I opened the first can. Both cats sniffed the food took a little nibble and walked away. The difference in their reaction was between night and day. It was obviously a different recipe and I am not ready to buy it again.
This is the first blue buffalo product that my cat doesn’t like. In fact he disliked it so much that he tried to scratch and cover up his food dish. Not sure whether it was the smell or the texture or something else but he was not a fan.
The cat food in this case contained far more water than the same product purchased from a local pet supply store. Where I could feed my cats with one can from the locally purchased product, what I received from Chewy takes two cans. My cats like the flavor, however, if it continues to be more water than food, I won't be able to recommend it in the future.
I've been looking for a healthier, lower carb food for my tubby orange kitty. And, one that he'll eat instead of turn up his nose to. This Blue Buffalo Grain-Free Canned Cat Food is perfect!
I love this size can! It is great because I can buy a pack and have the food for a good amount of time. I wish they did not discontinue this size because now I have to buy a pack of cat food more frequently. This is also my cats’ favorite flavor. So yes, this is a great brand and I hope they bring this size back!
