Do you use this as a catridge for a motorized filter or do you just drop it in the tank?

Boyd Chemi-Pure Green Nano Ultimate Filter Media can be placed anywhere they will fit. They are an extremely versatile filter media packet. They can be placed into foam air filters, conventional HOB filter, and larger filter cartridges that allow extra media to be added or even simply placed to the back side (intake) of a powerhead or pump as long as they won’t be sucked into the moving parts of said power head.

How long will each packet last in a 5 gallon?

Used the Chemi-Pure Blue and Chemi-Pure Elite in the past in marine tank I had with great results. Based on this I chose to use the Chemi-Pure green in my 3.5 gallon

Okay, first time customer. I keep clean aquariums with water changes, topping off and mechanical filtration. The reason I decided to try this product is I have live plants, and should be safe and am hoping it could help with algae problems. The water is crystal clear. Like thar! Honestly not sure if it can help with the algae and that's okay. Product does not state that it would. I like the miniature packets as I have smaller tanks. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.
