Do the actual puzzle pieces come loose or are they connected somehow?

The pieces are connected to the base. They will spin and slide around to reveal the hidden treats.

Can this be washed in a dishwasher?

The manufacturer recommends handwashing only. It is encouraged to wash the product before use and after each use and not leaving treats stored inside the treat dispensers or treat puzzles. This brand's products are not intended for dishwashers or convection/microwave ovens. To clean, scrub with a brush under warm water using mild, nontoxic detergent and rinse thoroughly. Please make sure to inspect for wear while cleaning and let air dry.

Keeps her occupied and gets her eating!

My new pup is really hesitant about eating but this has been getting her used to her food in such a fun way! It keeps her occupied and stimulated, we have done it

My new pup is really hesitant about eating but this has been getting her used to her food in such a fun way! It keeps her occupied and stimulated, we have done it dozens of times at this point and she has a fun time pawing it. I think the fact that they're a little stiff is good for keeping it going. Mixing her kibble and some treats on it has been such a good way to get her eating. I would say it's not really like a you can make it more complex item as I thought, it's the same thing over and over but she doesn't seem to have complaints!

Pretty easy for my hound to figure out but he’s still interested, doesn’t keep him occupied for long now but it takes just enough time for me to make his meal without him barking at me the whole time. All of the pieces slide easily enough and I haven’t noticed any bent or sticking pieces despite it being picked up and tossed down the stairs more than a few times.

Pizza Party it IS!

Love this dog food toy / bowl. My pup is full of energy so this toy feeds him and gives him mental stimulation. He moves the lids, eats and then wanders around

Love this dog food toy / bowl. My pup is full of energy so this toy feeds him and gives him mental stimulation. He moves the lids, eats and then wanders around. We trade this food toy out for another food toy a couple times a week. A great way to have your pup / dog engaged in his meal and it gives him something to do.

Adorable But Easy

Very cute puzzle toy, but our dog races right through it. I think in time, once the sliding pieces loosen up a bit, we can use it for our cats. This would be good
