What are the dimensions for the inner sleep surfaces of these beds? I'm specifically interested in the extra large.

The inner dimensions of these beds are Medium: 16.14" x 13.19" ,Large: 27.17" x 23.23", and Extra Large: 31.1" x 25.79".

Do you have to wait for the bed to expand? If so how long do I need to wait.

This pet bed comes compressed and may take some time for the product to expand. It can take anywhere from just an hour up to 24-48 hours.

What size is best for a golden/lab mix? He’s 7 months and around 40 lbs. not full grown yet.

We recommend measuring your pet in their natural sleeping position to find the perfect bed size. Pets who curl up to sleep can fit on a smaller bed, while pets who stretch out need a larger bed. To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in their normal sleeping position, then add 4-6 inches for cats and small dogs, or 8-12 inches for medium to large dogs. When in doubt, we suggest ordering the bigger size. does this memory foam base have a water proof liner or is the cover just water resistant?

Only the cover itself is water resistant.

Stood the test of time!

We have had 3 of these beds for over a year now for our dogs, they have held up so well and show very little evidence of wear and tear at all. My dogs love the bolster

We have had 3 of these beds for over a year now for our dogs, they have held up so well and show very little evidence of wear and tear at all. My dogs love the bolster they use for their heads to rest on and have held up so well. I do give them a fluff up every now and again but they have held up well. If I ever need to replace the ones we have I will definitely rebut with exact bed again.

Best Beds Ever!

These beds are great. Very sturdy, durable, the dogs LOVE them. The bolsters around the edge seem like they’ll hold up well. This is NOT flimsy stuffing at all

Broken Zipper

I purchased this bed March 2023 and washed it for the first time and unfortunately once I unzipped the cover, the zipper broke and can't be zipped back up. Brindle

I purchased this bed March 2023 and washed it for the first time and unfortunately once I unzipped the cover, the zipper broke and can't be zipped back up. Brindle has a 3 year limited warranty, but per Brindle all warranty claims have to go through Chewy and Chewy only offers up to a year warranty or 10% of next bed.

Bed seems to be of good quality. The zip off cover is a great bonus. Carlee seems comfortable on it. She likes to use the bolster as a pillow.
