Brown's Tropical Carnival Fortified Daily Diet Natural Guinea Pig Food, 4-lb bag

I cannot say with absolute certainty that this stuff caused the death of my little girl. But what I can say is that in the 7 years that I had her she never once had a single health issue that required medical attention until I fed her this. She was fed a variety of fresh fruits & vegs & of course all the Timothy Hay she wanted. I didn't feed her the pellets very often only because she never really had much of an interest in eating them the few times I did try to get her to. I knew she was getting the nutrients that her body required from the variety of foods that I fed her daily. I ( just as some of you reading this,) seen this colorful mix of food and thought it has to taste better than the bland looking brown or gray-ish pellets that are recommended for guinea pigs so I took a chance and bought it for her. Worst mistake I've ever made because within a week of introducing this stuff to my guinea pig she suddenly started having major digestive problems, discomfort, trouble walking on all 4 legs & at times lethargic. She unfortunately passed away in the middle of the night before I could get her to a vet that specialized in guinea pig care that very next morning. Afterwards I did some research on some of the ingredients that are included in this mix and much to my surprise, nuts should never be fed to a guinea pig, like never ever not even occasionally And yes this stuff is loaded with nuts. I wish I had never made the mistake of buying this stuff much less feeding it to her. I am pleading with Chewy & with the manufacturer of this food to please consider taking this guinea pig food off of the store shelves indefinitely in order to save the lives of our precious guinea pigs that we love & cherish greatly!
