The cake was much smaller than I expected and also hard as a rock. My lab usually loves to eat and is not picky but she did not know how to eat this at first because it was so hard. She also got sick from eating it. Al thought the design is cute, I would not buy this again.

Adorable idea. The cake itself was nicely decorated.

The downside was that it was as hard as a rock. Peeled off "frosting" with the mini dog bones and had to throw away the rest.

Not Fresh

Not fresh, bottom was stuck to the paper. Dog wouldn’t eat it.

hard as a rock

The cake looked beautiful, but it was hard as a rock. I am not sure if it was old or not.

When you buy this, keep in mind its a cake for a dog, not for people... The cake is bone dry and rock hard. When you cut it, it shatters more instead of cuts and you have to use the point of the knife to stick it into the cake. Do this over a soft surface as the force required to penetrate the cake will leave you stabbing the surface below and leaving a mark on your wood cutting board, so use the cardboard insert (I foolishly did not) and crumbs will fly everywhere... That being said, Gabby loved the flavor of her cake and was more than happy to eat it all, though being so hard and dry it took a while to chew and she made tons of crumbs as a result. My biggest complaint is the mess it makes, if it could be just a little more moist it would be easier to eat and less messy. One thing of note, the listing for this says that it's a 4 count so I was expecting 4 cakes to share with other dogs, but what they meant to say is 4 servings so you only get one cake. :(
