My husband is allergic to cats. I rub the cats down with this once a week and he can have them in his lap, in his face, and not have a reaction. Note: the instructions say to spritz the cat with it. Seriously? Somewhere, there may be a cat that doesn't freak out if you spritz them with a liquid, but that cat does not live in my house. Instead, I put an old sock on my hand (something absorbent like cotton), saturate it with the Burt's Bees and give my cats a full-body massage. Works fine that way. Just be sure to give the cat a thorough combing afterwards or their fur will be somewhat stiff when dry.

I bought this for my 27 yr old cats dander but found out that it worked for my old dogs dry skin better than anything. This dog has itched since we adopted her 16 yrs ago. Went to the vet every 2 weeks and tryed every medication, lotion, etc. Thousands of $$$, 16 yrs later I used this on her and it’s been instant relief for her ever since. We put it on her every 2 wks and she is so happy. Thank God & Burt’s Bees!!!

I was told it was due to the Aloe cream that is an ingredient of this product. This is highly toxic for cats. If not treated quickly it could cause damage to the the kidneys. He was severely ill and this product should not be used at all. This is negligence on Chewy 's part for evening selling this product. The company has been contacted.

My cat gets dandruff seasonally but the itchy-ness of his skin makes him pull his fur out. My hope was that this would help him but it really doesn’t :/ It smells

My hope was that this would help him but it really doesn’t :/ It smells great but you realistically have to put a lot on to get down to the skin and at that point it’s more worth it to give him an oatmeal bath. As soon as i gave him the bath he was fine :/
A little tough to use if your cat is afraid of being sprayed
If your cat is like mine and afraid of being sprayed, it may cause wary behaviors. I’d spray it onto a wipe and wipe her instead. As a result I can’t quite get it

But paired with her allergen-reducing kibble, my allergies have mostly disappeared compared to my first week with my cat!
Less itchy
This makes a noticeable difference for our long haired kitty. He has less dry skin and I feel less itchy when I pet him.

I worried about them licking themselves after applying this. But Burts Bees seems to be pretty clean. It made their coats shiny It seemed to help w the bathing
