Our new golden puppy learned within a half a day to ring the bells when she wants to go out. (She went to the door already but if I didn't see her there could be an accident.) Only problem is she rings it when my husband goes outside and she wants to join him. Also, if she left a toy in the porch that she wants. Not going to discourage her. If she rings - she goes out.
I was desperate to get rid of the pee pads and the carpet stains from my two lab puppies. So I ordered these potty bells online and hoped for a miracle. I hung them on both doors and showed the pups how to ring them, while I said "touch" and "potty". To my amazement, they caught on in no time. By the end of the day, they were ringing the bells like pros and doing their business outside. I don't know if they are geniuses or I'm just lucky, but these potty bells are a lifesaver.
My name is Ainslie, and I'm a Westie. My mom said the bells are really well-made. I think they are fun to ring. I find it odd though, that when I ring them, Mom takes me outside, just when I need to go! How does she know? I'm only eleven weeks old. Maybe I'll understand when I'm really, really old in a year! :)
My 9 week old MiniBoz has been working with the potty bells for not quite a week yet but is already ringing his bell about 50% of the time. It’s a wonderful start. I appreciate how easy it is to use and the adjustable snaps are convenient. I also like how it comes with two - I have one at the front and the other by the back. :)
Great # bells, be nice for a lighter weight, smaller bells for pups 6-20#.
These door bells are well made and have a nice ring to them. The snap allows for variable door handle heights, for different size dogs/puppies
Friends of ours housebroke their puppy with these bells and I had to try them when we got our new puppy. We hung one on the front door and one on the back, and they automatically jingle when we whisk Juniper out to go potty. After a week, without even trying, she was batting them when she wanted to go out. She still has accidents, but she’s doing great!
I was doubtful at first, when I ordered the training collar, but it has proved to be an asset! It helps to correct behaviors quickly using just the vibrate setting. I like that you can adjust the settings. We like it so much that I’m ordering another one. the transmitter didn’t hold up under a jeep tire! Totally owner fall!
I bought these for help potty training my 12 week old puppy as we were struggling with him being able to communicate. Within a day or two he had the idea down and rings the bell when needed! I think it helps that the door we have it on is the door we also go in and out of so he hears it even when he isn't the one going out. The bells are not loud and my dog barely hits them but it's loud enough for me to hear it so it works for me.
These bells were great for training my dogs to tell me when they need to use the bathroom. Such a blessing! Consistency in training is key.
