Oddly Dry Pate
My cats did eat this food but they didn’t seem to enjoy it because of how dry it is. When my cats would take breaks after eating they would clean their faces for quite a while and they would only eat if I sat with them, once I walked away they would follow me. This food is just fine but because it’s so dry and a pate in such a large can I just can’t recommend it, honestly I can’t recommend any pate that’s in a can that’s 10 ounces or larger.
Canada Fresh Wet Cat food
My cats turned up their noses. I am disappointed! I have tried several brings of late and they have turned their noses down at most of the brands. I thought for sure they would enjoy this product. Not at all.
Good Quality Bad Appeal
This food has good quality ingredients and is well rated. Unfortunately my cats won’t eat it. I have several foster kitties because I volunteer for a rescue. None of them want to eat it.
Frustrated beyond belief
My review is for chewy not the brand. The food is great, my cats who can’t eat chicken love this stuff. However, I have now received the same expired lot 6 times since March. I have called and spoken to customer service each time and each replacement was the same expired lot. I even waited a couple months for them to resolve the issue before reordering this last time. The picture shows two packages. The one I most recently ordered and the replacement. Same lot, same March expiration.
Good choice for Cats
Looks good to me, light and creamy. All 4 cats took to it within 2 days. good ingredients, made in Canada...Yea!
Excellent food - but follow these pro tips
The food is wonderful and healthy for kittehs. That being said, you must transition the diet over from the old food. Over the period of 1-2 weeks serve your furbabies a ratio of 3-4 days 75% your old brand, 25 % canada fresh. Then lower ratio to 50/50 for 3 days. If after a week cats are still hesitating, switch to 25% old and 75% new. My cats are complete brats, so I have kept them at canada fresh with a topping of fancy feast. Please don't give his veyr well made food a 1 if all you've doen is dump a can of food in front of them. And for Heaven's Sake, please mash up the food with the edge of the can. Don't just dump it in one piece!
My cats won’t eat it
This is one of the very few approved foods on a list I like to go by. Sadly, neither of my cats would even try it. I mixed it in with some fancy feast, and one cat ate it. This is the second wet food my cats won’t eat (the first was tiki cat pate). They love all of the cheap cans: friskies, fancy feast, etc. I don’t know what’s up with these. Watching my cats sniff it and walk away is the weirdest thing. I’m still on the hunt for a wet food that my cats will at least eat. I saw the reviews that weren’t very great so this is just another from someone who decided to chance it anyway.
Healthier than others
I searched for cat food that was as healthy as possible. It was a hard task since mostly every brand I came across had ingredients like Guar Gum, Cassia Gum, Carageegen, and other things that just doesn't sound like it should be consumed, not even by animals. So when I found this brand and the ingredients sounded more natural, I was very happy. However, my cat would not eat it. I was disappointed because I knew she didn't like it because she was used to all of that other unhealthy food, but I was determined to get her used to eating this (for her own good). This food is thick, much thicker than the foods I used to give her. So I figured if I thinned it out with water, maybe the texture would be more appealing to her. I also bought a grinder and grounded up her hard food and mixed it in, hoping that if it was the taste that she didn't like, that maybe the add-in would help. And slowly but surely she came around. I guess the fact that she had nothing else to eat (other than a few treats) helped her come around too, because otherwise, she would have starved. But now she eats this stuff up with no problem and I am relieved to know that she is eating food that is good for her and not filled with a bunch of stuff that she shouldn't be eating, even if it is FDA approved. So I would recommend everyone trying to get their cat acclimated to eating this food. I think its worth it and, hopefully, others will too. Looking forward to her trying the chicken and tuna flavors too!
4/4 cats loved it
Based on the reviews, I was expecting my two picky eaters to turn it down, but all four of my cats seem to be enjoying it. It's a very dense pate, and they keep making a face like they've got peanut butter stuck to the roof of their mouth, but that hasn't stopped anyone from diving in whenever it's served.
My cats hated it!!
We were looking for a better cat food for our cats. This had all the right ingredients but the reviews were bad. We tried it anyway thinking that since we have multiple cats, someone would like it. The reviews were right. They ALL hated it. We also bought Lotus at the same time. They loved that one.
