This shows the protein percentage at 32%. What percent of that is derived from meat sources?

Due to the pet food industry being a very competitive business, companies want to keep their recipes proprietary at the risk of them being copied by others, the protein content derived from animal sources, is considered proprietary to the manufacturer.

This formula contains sweet potatoes, peas, potatoes, vitamins, minerals and a probiotics mix. This is a limited ingredient diet for pets with sensitivites so it uses just eight key ingredients. However, even if your dog isn’t sensitive to ingredients, he’ll still love the great taste.

Causing GI upset in dogs

I was hoping this would work for my dog who has some skin sensitivities and is always itchy. We have only been slowly transitioning her food and she had horrible

Our pittie is 13 years old. She has 13 year old problems, such as a bit of stomach sensitivity and straight out pickiness. She has always had skin issues. She likes this food quite a bit, particularly if we add a serving of fish oils to the bowl. It doesn't upset her stomach and while skin issues are still present, it doesn't seem to aggravate them. If you aren't used to this food, it will smell very fishy. Not rancid, I think obviously, but "Oh, that's fish." All the better to make the dog happy.

Picky Dog Not Approved

Our dog said no. We attempted to feed a small amount with her kibble and she would not touch it. Added her favorite topper to get her to eat it, she did and then

Grain free is not heart healthy for your dog according to our vet

According to our vet, grain free food is not healthy for canines heart. She advised us NOT to feed this food to our dog. He sure enjoyed it while he was eating it
